House to vote on bonus payment for Social Security

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the House will vote in November to provide $250 payments to Social Security recipients to make up for the lack of a cost-of-living increase for next year.

The Social Security Administration is expected to announce Friday that more than 58 million retirees and disabled Americans will go a second straight year without an increase in benefits.

Pelosi said Thursday the House will vote on a bill to provide the $250 payments when Congress returns after the November congressional elections. The payments would be similar to those provided by the government's massive economic recovery package in 2009.

Do I smell desperation in the air???? Sucking up to Seniors just in time for the election? The seniors of this Country have taken some of the worst hits by all the crap Congress has passed on to them, do they honestly believe this would sway their vote? Not freakin' likely!

Let's see: my health insurance is going up in November, my taxes will be going up in January. That $250 won't even begin to cover it.

it will not cover one any thing . he should have never stop the SSC at all . he gave it to the Illegal Immigrant when he be came President . for two years . & now he want our vote . I saw On fox news this young youth has told obama why should i vote for you again . & I said good for you the college kids know how he is Now so all the senior's & college kids watch out . he just looking for the vote we want Our country Back
