What works for one may not work for another. I'd like to know who designed this globalization mess. I was watching Atlantis, in this one episode they thought they were playing a computer game trying to experiment with building the perfect culture. What they didn't know was it wasn't a game. These were actual communities with real people who thought their "game moves" were divine guidence from some spiritual being and obeyed them. They managed to create war where there was once peace. People hating each other that once got along.....all based on what the "game players" thought was the best move for them.

I'm a major Star Trek fan as well.....nothing strikes me better than the prime directive. I personally don't think this world is ready or even wants globalization. It seems to have destroyed alot more than what it helped.

Globalization (globalisation) in its literal sense is the process of transformation of local or regional phenomena into global ones. It can be described as a process by which the people of the world are unified into a single society and function together. This process is a combination of economic, technological, sociocultural and political forces. Globalization is often used to refer to economic globalization, that is, integration of national economies into the international economy through trade, foreign direct investment, capital flows, migration, and the spread of technology.

In other words, it gives corporations a license to seek the cheapest labor available world-wide.... that is the prime directive...

Globalization didn't work so well for the Romans, and its not looking so good for us either....

I understand what it is, but in this sense it's based only on money....on the back of cheap labor There's more than just money that matters. In the quest for just that, it's destroying alot more things that are more valuable to a society.
