Why is it government thinks it should be able to override the majority of the citizenry of this nation? This was the second time the citizens of California voted to ban gay marriage.

SACRAMENTO (AP) - A legislative committee has endorsed legal efforts to overturn California's voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage.
The Assembly Judiciary Committee voted 7-3 Tuesday to put the legislature on record as opposing Proposition 8.
The California Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments for March 5 on a series of lawsuits that argue citizens lack the authority to put the gay marriage ban directly to voters.
The resolution goes next to the full Assembly, and the state Senate is scheduled to consider a companion measure in coming weeks.

This crap happens because of idiot liberals who think they are accountable to no one. These are the same idiots that flushed Mexifornia down the toilet because they support open borders and forced Mexifornians to spend 12 billion dollars annually on illegal alien health care, welfare, food stamps, unemployment insurance, in-state tuition and other benefits while cutting medicare, medicaid, unemployment, social security, SSI and other benefits for senior citizens, veterans and indigent Americans.
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.

No our vote means zero. This is what happened with prop 187 several years ago that would have stopped enabling illegals. The idiot liberal judges make all the laws stick or erase. We mean nothing. Might add 2 of these judges were the appointees of Jimmy Carter. He destroyed California. Thanks Jimmy

The gays will get thier wish. I knew it when I voted in support of Prop. 8.
What I don't get, is why they can't just call it something else? As much as thier lifestyle repulses me, I think it's ridiculous that they don't have the same rights as married couples - but can't they give it another name? Civil union sounds good to me.
Truth be told, I will be waaay more upset at an amnesty than them getting thier marriage. I just don't have enough fight left in me to get angry about this anymore... The part Im not looking forward to is having to watch them kiss and hug on TV over and over....nauseating!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
