Weiner again apologized, "particularly to my wife, Huma," and said the "distraction that I have created" by his sexting scandal made it impossible for him to stay in office, reports CNN. He spoke for only a few minutes and again heard from hecklers, including Benjy Bronk of the Howard Stern show in a repeat performance, notes TMZ.

    The good news is no more stories like these. The bad news? Weiner was actually a pretty good congressman, writes Chris Smith at New York. "Weiner loved this city, he loved politics, and he had the talent to use the latter to make the former a better place." A showboat, yes, but he also did good things when the cameras weren't rolling. "We’ve all lost something with Anthony Weiner’s political demise."

    Weiner loved this city, he loved politics, and he had the talent to use the latter to make the former a better place

    What did we lose? the idea honor, morals, standards & values don't count is much of the problem we face with our leaders. How can I expect someone to make good decisions concerning my country when he/she can't make good personal decisions.

    Simply put we need quality leaders with high standards more today then any time in history yet it seems we only get the weiners of the world.
    I'm old with many opinions few solutions.
