    Republicans Seek Special Prosecutor for Sestak WH job claim

    May 26 (Bloomberg) -- Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans say they want a special prosecutor named to probe allegations by Representative Joe Sestak that he was offered a job by a White House official if he dropped out of Pennsylvania’s Democratic Senate primary race. Sestak defeated the candidate backed by President Barack Obama, incumbent Arlen Specter, in the May 18 vote. Since then, Sestak and the White House have been repeatedly asked by reporters and Republican officials to provide more detail about the job offer.


    Led by Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, the Republicans today asked Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint the special prosecutor because federal laws may have been broken and they
    believe an investigation led by someone outside the White House is appropriate.

    bribes and political machine manipulation,â€
