This looks like a crazy one and the Border Patrol was even involved, but not sure if any of them are illegal immigrants.

SAN DIEGO -- It was a not guilty plea Thursday afternoon from the mother of a jail escapee.

Leticia Gonzales and attorney Benjamin Sanchez were arraigned Thursday in a South Bay court in connection to an April jailbreak, 10News reported.

Two of the men wanted in the prison break are still on the run.

Meanwhile, Sanchez and Leticia Gonzales said they had nothing to do with the escape.

“No way. No way,” said Ricardo Gonzales.

Ricardo Gonzales said his 46-year-old daughter, Leticia, could never have done what prosecutors allege.

Leticia Gonzales was charged with helping her son Joe Morales organize a jailbreak.

Prosecutor David Bost told reporters that Gonzales "relayed messages from her son ... to someone on the outside who was going to assist him in making his escape."

In April, the 22-year-old Morales, charged for a 2004 murder; 27-year-old George Munoz, accused of child molestation; and 18-year-old Mark Estrada, charged with murder, escaped through a recreation yard fence at George Bailey Detention Facility.

The Border Patrol arrested Estrada hours after a massive manhunt, but the other men are still on the loose.

Sanchez, 68, was charged with misrepresentation, a situation that helped in the escape.

He called the charges “bogus.”

Sanchez -- Estrada’s attorney -- was freed on his own recognizance.

Leticia Gonzales, still in jail, has no prior record and lots of family support.
