Thread: Inhofe Getting Plummeled

Got this email today:

"Look for lots of outside interests to flood Oklahoma airwaves in support of the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate." - Norman Transcript newspaper 9/3/2008

For weeks, a California-based political attack committee has been running ads attacking me. Now, outside groups such as the League of Conservation Voters have circled Oklahoma as the latest target for their negative attack ads. My opponent is working closely with these groups and embracing their support - taking his orders straight from the Democrat playbook of misinformation and character assassination.

Apparently, my support for our troops, call for secure borders, and defense of life and traditional marriage have made me enemy #1 of many of the radical groups now drawing up plans to flood airwaves with their attack ads. To counter their attacks I will need your help.

Today I am asking you to do three things:

1. Make a contribution of $10, $25, $50 or even $100 or more in support of my campaign. We will invest each dollar in our efforts to contact voters directly and fight back against the negative attacks. We have set a goal of 1,000 contributions by midnight September 30. We are tracking our progress toward this goal on the front page of our website.
2. After you make a contribution please visit our website www.jiminhofe.com , and sign up to get a Jim Inhofe yard sign.
3. Email your friends about our campaign. Ask them to make a small contribution of a few dollars in support of our shared values.

With each contribution of $25 or more we will send you a campaign bumper sticker for your car or window.

I am counting on your support. These outside political attack groups are well-funded and willing to spin any lie in order to win. In 2006 they coordinated to defeat the Republican leader of the House version of the committee I lead in the Senate. It's those same groups that are targeting me now.

Let's make sure we have the resources to counter their lies with the truth!

Yes, CA Dems want the whole nation to go their way.

Inhofe is considered one of the good guys in our battle against illegal immigration.

What is wrong with Oklahoma? ICE get in there!

We need this man fighting for us in Washington, DC.

How typical, they fear him so they want to destroy him. I hope everyone pitches in to help him. He is a strong patriot for the cause.

Thanks vmonkey. Isn't that the truth April. If you don't think like we do we'll try and destroy you. Look at Palin lately. They don't even know her, they are throwing out things just to see what will stick. They are destroyers. I have a lot more respect for them if they would stick to facts.
