Since China is working with Cuba to drill of their coast they will actually be pulling our oil. For years off-shore drilling has been illegal and there has been 100 mile limit. But Cuba is 90 miles off our shore. Thus, China will probably be drilling within 70 or eighty miles of the Florida coast. This is one reason why Floridans are voting to let off shore drilling begin and why the Governor is changing his mind.
No matter how we conserve it won't work. China and India are using more and more oil. We need to be energy independent. We need Anwar (the size of postage stamp on a football field), nuclear, wind, solar, and especial shale oil. Our shale oil reserves are larger than all of Saudi Arabia. We can be completely energy independent. Drillers who are on the rigs that we can have the first barrel of oil to us within six years.
What the politicians is the same things they have been saying for 30 years. Nothing new. I think people will be in DC with pitch forks and torches if they don't get something done.
Harry Reid says that oil makes us sick. Well, I bet good old Harry will soon be hearing from his Casino owners in Las Vegas. When their business goes down and dries up it could literally go back to what it was decades ago. Harry isn't very smart. Just wait until the people in LV starts wising up to him.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Let's not forget the millions of gallons of gas China is obtaining from all their new coal-to-gas plants (coal hydrogenation).
