Not Captured After All: Gadhafi’s Son Spotted at Libyan Hotel, Says He ‘Broke Backbone of Rebels’

Col. Muammar Gadhafi’s son and heir Saif al-Islam, who was believed to have been captured and detained by rebel forces, appeared Monday at the Libyan hotel, Rixos.

CNN correspondent Matthew Chance had a brief encounter with Saif, who pulled up in a white Land Cruiser and allowed the reporter to take photographs and conduct a brief interview. According to Chance, Saif said his father, along with the rest of his family, are all alive and well and currently in Tripoli. The colonel’s son also mentioned rumors of his capture were merely a “trapâ€

Lies, Lies, and MORE Lies!!! It is absolutely amazing and frightening the amount of lies that come from this administration and the MSM. Journalism is officially dead in this country. It seems that the news media continues to take the word of a Twitter feed or some other source as fact without verifying the information. All in an effort to be first in breaking the story. Who cares if it is true. I no longer rely on any MSM or cable channels, including FOX as the conduit for truth. The news agencies are only concerned about ratings and the political outcome of the news not the facts. I have not listened to national or local news through the standard venues for over 6 months now. It is amazing the amount of information that I get when I search for the information. Glen was right… research, verify and do more research to make sure you get the information you need. I can guarantee you, you will not get the truth from most people on conventional television, radio or cable. They are all spoon fed the information and talking points or they are so ideological in their views that they can not see the trees through the forest. What good does freedom of the press do when the press is in the pockets of the criminals or rely they on unverified sources as truth. This entire war in Libya has been a lie and this just one more issue that goes to prove it. It is a sad day in America.
