The youth vote helped Barack Obama get elected two years ago, and now the president is hoping to harness some of that same energy to help the Democrats win in next month's midterm elections.

President Obama will host a Youth Town Hall event next Thu. at 4PM, called 'A Conversation With President Obama,' that will be broadcast on MTV, BET, CMT and MTVu, and streamed online at MTV.com, BET.com and CMT.com. The commander in chief will take questions from the audience and via Twitter.

The audience will be comprised of 250 young people "representing a cross-section of American youth," according to the release. MTV News reports that the special will be co-hosted by MTV's Sway Calloway, BET's April Woodard and CMT's Katie Cook. If you're interested in attending the hourlong commercial-free special, visit MTV's website for more information. Check out MTV's video announcement below, then let us know what you think of the town hall.
