So, is the U.S. government bankrupt?
What part of "$10.6 TRILLION in debt" do you not understand?

I pay my bills on time, and even though my income is negligible, I have excellent credit.

But if I were the head of a family with 2.5 children (and I am NOT), and if I owed $156,095 (and I do NOT) with little expectation of any payment being made besides the interest, how long do you think my creditors would let it slide before I would have to declare bankruptcy (which I would NOT)?
