More Americans and Illegals applied for federal government disability programs in June than got new jobs, according to two new government reports, a bleak indicator of how bad the nation's jobs portfolio is looking after 3 1/2 years of economic ruin.

The U.S. created around 80,000 jobs in June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. But that same month, 85,000 workers left the workforce entirely to enroll in the Social Security Disability Insurance program, according to the Social Security Administration.

Do you know how hard it is to get on disability on your first try even with an Attorney helping you? 90 % are rejected on the first application. an it takes 2 years on the average to get it, if even you do get it. Then there is a 24 month waiting period before you get your Medicare. Lets see you have waited five years in pain and can not work?

Bet you are doing great by the time this get to you?

Now lets add these 85,000 to the 375,000 filing for unemployment last month and we have 460,000 not being employed. So lets brag about how we added 80,000 new jobs in last month, oh yeah and how many of those are temporary jobs for the summer and/or minimum wage?

Have you tried to live on minimum wage lately? Try being on disability or on SSI. SSI pays you about $800 a month to live on. You can not even get by on that even if you have no rent to pay. What was your electric bill last month? Thank you Obama for making our disabled appear to be wealthy.

Many people with disabilities work every day. In today's environment they are fearful of losing their job, knowing they can't compete with able bodied persons. If they are near retirement I bet they are many of the ones retiring on disability. I'm not saying they are the only ones but I would wager they are in the majority.

There is no job security anymore. What jobs might be hiring are not looking for the older people. Many cannot afford to go overseas just to try to find a job. Age can be a disability too, in itself. I don't blame them for seeking out disability these days.

Obama likes those numbers, he keeps saying,, "Things are turning around" For him, so he can dictate to and control those getting Government aid.............
More workers on fed disability than people in NYC
Disability checks stack up under Obama
Jobless file disability claims to keep checks coming

Just a note:

I have been unable to work since November 2012 and have tried to hold down a job twice in the first part of 2011 but because of health issues was unable to. I first applied for SSD(social security disability) in September 2011 and was denied in November 2011 reapplied and was denied in March 2012. I have appealed and retained council to help me get it but have not as of yet. I am any one seeking disability if they truly need it. I have worked 14+ hour days for 20years and have paid my taxes in to all the programs. So if you truly need SSD and you deserve it then apply for it.

Just remember that Governments objective is to get you on the system so they can control you.

And the fraud is everywhere in every program and every system.
