COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Police are not yet releasing the names of three people killed in a Cobb County crash. Police say a wrong-way driver caused the accident.

Officials said a man driving the wrong-way on Canton Road in Cobb County died. The driver of a car he hit plus a 17-year-old passenger in that car were also killed Sunday night.

Officials said a 1995 Ford Taurus was traveling southbound on the Canton Road Connector in the left straight lane. A 1999 Mercury Villager was traveling northbound on the Canton Road Connector, while driving the wrong-way, in the left straight southbound lane. The Ford Taurus and the Mercury Villager collided. The crash is still under investigation.

Emergency workers took a woman and child that were also in the car to the hospital.

No names are being released at this time.
