(CNSNews.com) - Vice President Joe Biden, expressing his solidarity with organized labor, told the AFL-CIO Executive Committee on Thursday that "rebuilding our broken economy gives us the opportunity to get it right and reward workers." Union workers.

“We're going to make sure that in every policy, every decision, we don't lose sight of the folks that brought us to the dance,â€

Biden reassured labor leaders that he and President Barack Obama agree, "You can't have a strong middle class without a strong labor movement." And Biden repeated that he and Obama will judge the success or failure of their administration on whether the middle class standard of living has increased during their first term.
Really? Then please tell us why workers wages have plummeted as unions have gotten stronger?

Don't get me wrong, we're a union family; BUT we can all see that the unions have been ripping us off for a long time. The workers aren't making the money we used to make, but the top union officials are rolling in it.

Time to clean shop, vote NO on this sham!

Yes...I agree this is exactly what's going on. Our own Department of Labor is actively recruting Union Labor Organizers. Taxing businesses and pushing for more unions is not the way to create job growth in this country! This is going to drive even more businesses and companies out of the country or out of business!

This is nothing more than a huge membership drive being orchastrated by our own government as political payback for the some 80 million that unions contributed to Obama's campaign.

This is like a massive PBS telethon, with Biden, Solis and Obama leading the pledge drive!

Well, without E-Verify, Obama's spending scheme will boost jobs for 300,000 illegal aliens.

Your absolutely right Populist! Based upon some of Obama's pro-illegal/open border appointments, reluctance to implement E-Verify as part of Stimulus bill, etc., one might reach the conclusion that perhaps this is the intent!

Part of the problem is that at least in some unions the illegals have all but taken over the union. BTW it happens to be illegal for anyone illegally inside the U S to hold any union position. But we must still support the union movement. That's because working people need them. What we must do is oppose the abuses of unions.
