David Murrin: Western World Is 'Finished Financially'

Growth and investment opportunities will be found in emerging markets while the West is "finished financially," says David Murrin, CIO at Emergent Asset Management.

"This is the moment when the Western world realizes it is finished financially and the implications are huge, whereas the emerging BRIC countries are at the beginning of their continuation cycle," Murrin tells CNBC, referring to the BRIC group of big emerging markets Brazil, Russia, India and China.

Leaders in the U.S. and Western European countries have been unable to craft policy that generates sustained growth, which will leave them in the economic doldrums from time to time.

When economies grow so slowly that they cannot outpace inflation rates, they experience negative real growth, which can be dangerous.

"Societies fracture when you have negative real growth and quite simply our society faces fractures for trying to stick Europe back together again," Murrin says.

So in the long run, get ready for China to rule the world.

"This isn't just a BRIC story, this is the end of the Christian Western Empire versus the rise of the whole emerging world led by China as the foremost and most powerful," Murrin says.

China recently took an about-face with its economic policy, shifting away from fighting inflation to fueling more growth by cutting reserve requirements on banks.

"This is a big move — this is easing," says Stephen Green, China economist at Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong, according to Reuters.

"It's a clear signal that China is on a loosening mode," Green adds.

Murrin is a Moron. China can loosen all they want , if the western world falls then who will buy their poisonous happy meal toys and all the other trinkets they make? There still is heavy industrial manufacturing and tooling that exists even yet in the U.S. and Europe. Most of the stuff that comes from China is not really necessary and could be considered ' fluff.'
Not a real big market for Chino made Christmas lights if no one here has any money. If we can place protectionist policies in place to the degree needed we can make it without them.

He may be right because our American government has been so compromised by the Chinese, Saudis, and Mexicans along with their bought off American traitors like McCain, Bush, Obama, Perry, etc.... Our own government has made decision after decision to benefit the rise of China as the new world power while destroying the United States financially, politically, culturally, and demographically.

We are on the verge of being so inundated with millions of illegal aliens and millions of legal immigrants that are here to exploit America and Americans (not all legal immigrants of are like this of course but the anti American actions of many legal immigrants from Russia, India, China, Central and South America is well documented here) that we are indeed about to crack up like this author claims.

They have literally sucked the wealth out of America and propped us up with enslaving debt to mask that fact that the true wealth of America has been stolen.

The next phase will probably involve Americans being treated like a disposed tribe in Africa sitting atop natural resources China is coming to harvest up from the ground beneath us.
