ECONOMICS - ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION (Letters to Editor)

    EDITOR:

I read Jeremiah Cota's letter to the editor. What we have here is an example of not seeing the forest for the trees.

If the developed world economies weren't driven by economics, illegal immigration would not be such an issue as it is today. After all, they do the grunt labor Americans won't. However, we do need to control their access to skilled labor, which is another issue.

Article comment by: Let's really be fair

That's Fair: if you are truly going to be fair, then address all the other issues David raises. How about the costs for schools to educate children that do not speak English, and to do it in their original language? Look at what is happening to the health care system in border areas where folks come across, have babies or are treated in local hospitals and then ignore the bills by moving back across the border. Look at the crime statistics and the cost of housing criminals. Yavapai County for instance has an illegal immigrant population of less than 5% of the total population, but illegal immigrants make up 28% of our local jail population. My point is that David brings up various real issues and you ignore all of them except one. How "fair" is that? That assumes you really care about being fair. What about all the cash based employment where no taxes are collected? Look, it is OK if you are pro-illegal immigration, you are entitled to your opinion, but the idea that it is only a benefit to the US economically, is simply not true and it would be "fair" to discuss all the impacts, both positive and negative, not pick and chose depending upon your politics.

We do not need illegals to do the grunt work, and they are already moving into the skilled labor field. Go by any construction site and see for yourself. Sent them all back, this will force employers to pay a fair wage and then Americans will do the grunt work. To many Americans now are not able to find work and plenty of illegals are here taking our jobs and sending the money south of the border, UNTAXED!

    Welcome Strangebrew

You are right vmonkey can speak for himself but there are a lot of poor less skilled Americans who would take issue with his speaking for them.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The worst is yet to come! We don't even know how many illegals are here! IMO, 30M is a conservative number! But it's the ANCHOR BABY PLAGUE that is going to do us in! They have the highest birthrate in the nation. In CA, 3 out of 4 babies born today are hispanic! What are we supposed to do with all of these phony anchor babies? Our kids and grandchildren are going to be struggling to find ANY kind of a job...blue collar or otherwise! We can deport illegals, but we are stuck with their "legacies"! Therein lies the problem!!! Repeal the phony anchor baby scam law NOW!

    And...WELCOME, Strangebrew613!

You are exactly right Strangebrew, and you are in very good company. This site is filled with patriots that know exactly what is happening, why, and how. Globalist corporate ownership of DC is a major theme here that pops up all of the time.

BTW, please resaearch Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!
