I am not an anti-union person but I don't like Casey’s bill. The tax payers should not bailout the pension fund. The fund was created many years ago and was thought to be a good plan by everyone except the employers. The problem is the membership numbers have crashed and it is not a sustainable plan any longer.
I think the three option put forward are fair. The union retirees will have to live on SSI if they don't have something like a 401k.
