Arizona Family's Pet Chihuahua Found Cut in Half

Pretty messed up but it always seems like the news wants to play out racially motivated without proof first.

    Whoever did this is scum.

Phoenix police are investigating a startling animal-cruelty case in which a 6-month-old Chihuahua was found cut in half.

The distraught Medina family had to remove photos of their dog "Taco" from the walls of their Phoenix home after the dog's owner, Humberto Medina, made the gruesome discovery.

Medina said the photos are too painful to look at because his last memory of Taco was of the pet torn in two pieces in their backyard.

Medina believes the crime was racially motivated.

"I don't understand why they did (this)," Humberto Medina told MyFOXPhoenix.com. "He was just a little dog. He cannot hurt anybody."

Detective Stacie Derge said the Phoenix Police Department does not have any suspects for the crime.

She did not have further details to release.

Anyone with information is asked to call 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

I feel sorry for he Medinas and do not think tey are responsible ut can not help but remember that Chihuahua were bred by Mexican Indians for eating.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

How do the know its a hate crime? Usually when something mean is done to an animal, it's because the owner didn't control it's/barking/pooping, etc and a neighbor is getting revenge. Whoever did this is heartless nonetheless....

Thats the point. They don't know but since that is what a Mexican family claims it must be true and reported as such without proof, It could have been a bunch of kids screwing around for all they know. Whitout a named suspect it just shows biased media at its worst.

This is disgusting.....unfortunatly, Americans aren't noted any longer for cruelty.....look to your own for this. Tick them off, traitor ? We don't run, use mob rule, decapitate people, hack up animals, sell our children, torch our families, abduct people, rape babies.......cultural diversity at work.....look to your own for this fiasco. That's your norm not ours.

We saw this story on the news first thing this morning. It's very sad, and disgusting.

But, I'm not sure about it being racially motivated.......the area it happened in is largely hispanic and, quite frankly, I tihnk one of the neighbors is responsible. From living in this neighborhood, I have been appalled to find out just how much disregard the IAs here have for animals.
They will beat and kick them, strike them with shovels, rakes, etc., poison them, run them down in the street........for something as simple as barking at their kids as they walk past someone's home, these people will brutally go after someone else's pet.

According to the article found at the following link the dog was left outside OVER THE WEEKEND while the owners were away, with someone "checking" on it. Who in their right mind leaves a toy breed puppy alone outside over a weekend???? I don't care how much food, water and/or shelter the puppy had, toy breeds should NEVER be left outside alone. The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me. IMO the owner should be charged with neglect.
