This article doesn't say whether or not the men from El Salvador are illegal aliens so I'm posting it here.

More Money Seized On I-80

Douglas County sheriff’s drug interdiction deputies have confiscated $1.2 million in suspected drug money. It’s the third cash seizure on Interstate 80 by Douglas County canine units in the last week.

The $1.2 million was discovered about 9 a.m. Wednesday in a westbound semi at I-80 and Q.

An Omaha-based agent for the Drug Enforcement Agency said he hadn’t seen this amount of cash taken in back-to-back stops in the metro area in quite some time.

The truck involved in Wednesday's incident had been pulled over for a traffic violation. No drugs were found so the two occupants of the semi, both from El Salvador, were released but the money will be kept unless the men can prove the cash wasn’t tied to drug trafficking.

Channel Six News has also learned that about $2 million was seized by Iowa Department of Transportation officers during a routine truck inspection near Council Bluffs on Tuesday.
