More Than A Dozen Lawmakers Held Secret Meeting To Discuss Getting Rid Of Trump – by Robert Gehl

With comments like “my button is bigger than your button,” some NeverTrumpers think President Donald Trump has lost his mind. And they’re acting on it.

His “unconventional style” from day one of his inauguration has prompted more than a dozen Democratic lawmakers to meet with a Yale professor of psychiatry to discuss the Commander-in-Chief’s mental health.

It’s a growing obsession with the much-forgotten 25th Amendment, which allows for a removal of the president if he becomes incapacitated or otherwise incapable of performing his duties.

The psychiatrist’s analysis: Trump is unraveling and we are seeing the signs.

In two days of private meetings last month, more than a dozen Democratic members of Congress (and one Republican) sat down with Dr. Bandy X. Lee for an analysis of Trump’s behavior. Lee wouldn’t disclose who the Republican was.

In an interview with Politico, she pointed to Trump “going back to conspiracy theories, denying things he has admitted before, his being drawn to violent videos.” Lee also warned, “We feel that the rush of tweeting is an indication of his falling apart under stress. Trump is going to get worse and will become uncontainable with the pressures of the presidency.”

Of course, it’s a violation of the so-called “Goldwater Rule” for mental health experts to offer professional diagnoses of people they have not personally examined. But that doesn’t stop even the most unethical in the field.

Lee is also the author of “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump,” where two dozen other ethically challenged mental health experts offer their own assessment of the President’s psychological fitness.

Lee said she was surprised by the interest in her findings during her two days in Washington. “One senator said that it was the meeting he most looked forward to in 11 years,” Lee recalled. “Their level of concern about the president’s dangerousness was surprisingly high.”

The conversation about Trump’s mental health reached a fever pitch after his tweet about the North Korean leader and his access to the “nuclear button.”

“North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

The Democrats – and one unnamed Republican – are looking carefully at the 25th Amendment, which allows for the removal of the president from office if the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet deem him physically or mentally “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.

One of the conservative voices calling for an invocation of the 25th Amendment is conservative writer Bill Kristol.

On Wednesday, Kristol tweeted: “I trust @VP has asked his Counsel to prepare a draft document transferring power in accord with Sec. 4 of 25th Amendment in case it’s suddenly needed, & that he’s discussed this with COS Kelly.”

But liberal Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz said that the conversation about Trump’s fitness could be dangerous to democracy.

“The 25th Amendment would require, for mental incapacity, a major psychotic break,” said former Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz. “This is hope over reality. If we don’t like someone’s politics we rail against him, we campaign against him, we don’t use the psychiatric system against him. That’s just dangerous.”

LOL!! Funny!! What will come of all this talk of Trump's fitness? Well, on January 19, we'll have a budget or a shut down, in February, every taxpaying American citizen and American Business will see tax cuts in their paychecks and quarterly earnings statements, continued GDP growth, more jobs for their families, higher wages for some, new announcements of new industries coming home and locating in a city or town near you for others, reports of reduced illegal immigration and reduced legal immigration, deportation of more illegal aliens, more notices to TPS aliens to return to their home countries, reduced food stamp usage, reduced Medicaid usage, selection of the wall, a peaceful Olympics in South Korea, and progress on fixing our bad trade deals, and lots of other good stuff on the international scene all while we prepare for military action against North Korea to take out their nuclear arms and enforce the UN Resolution against nuclear proliferation.
