COMMENTARY:
When Walter F. Murphy, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence, Emeritus, at Princeton University, tried to use the curbside check-in at the Albuquerque airport recently, he was told he could not use the service because he was on the "Terror Watch List." When he enquired of the clerk why this was, the clerk asked him if he had participated in any peace marches; apparently a lot of people are added to the list because of that.

Murphy said that he had not marched, but had given a speech at Princeton highly critical of President Bush's many violations of the Constitution. The speech was later shown on the web. "That'll do it," the clerk said.

How hypocritical of our government that a man who exercises his right of free speech is added to a terror watch list while our national security, particularly our southern border where countless terrorists have undoubtedly entered the country, lies in shambles.

It's time for Americans to wake up and realize that we are not fighting a war on terror to defend freedom; rather we are fighting a war on freedom that supportsterrorism.
