As many of you know from reading Mark Levin's book, the Constitution permits states to hold a convention to propose amendments. There is a website devoted to making this happen. We can end much of the misery and bondage caused by statists, including bad immigration policy using this process. Please pass along this information, post it on other sites, and get involved. This is from the home page:

Mark Meckler, President of Citizens for Self-Governance, recently posted on Selfgovern.com:

“Seriously…does anyone, on either side of the aisle believe it when Nancy Pelosi says:

‘The cupboard is bare. There’s no more cuts to make. It’s really important that people understand that.’

How can any politician get away with a lie like this? The reality is that the federal budget has doubled in twelve years, from $1.9 trillion in 2001 to $3.8 trillion this year. If the CEO of a publicly traded company made this type of statement upon which shareholders might rely, they would probably be liable for fraud. When voters rely upon this sort of statement, the best we can hope is that they vote the fraudsters out of office.
But someone ought to hold them fiscally responsible…really.”

The States have the power to be that “someone”! A Convention of States can propose amendments that would hold the federal government fiscally responsible. A balanced budget amendment, coupled with tax reform amendments, can keep future generations from shouldering the burden of this generation’s financial mistakes.
