Fox News cuts American child for thanking Russian troops

A 12-year-old American girl visiting relatives during the conflict in South Ossetia has thanked Russian soldiers for saving her from the Georgian attack. However, America’s Fox News attempted to cut her and her aunt off air.

Amanda Kokoeva was in a cafe in Tskhinvali when the firing from Georgian troops began. (See the Youtube video below)

She managed to get back to her uncle's basement where she spent the night. In a lull, she then managed to flee across the border to Russia, before boarding a plane bound for San Francisco.

"I want to say that I was running from Georgian troops bombing the city,â€

I saw that. Floored them coz they sure didn't want to hear anything nice about Russia. God forbid the Russians rescued them and made sure they safely got back to America. Doesn't fit with their agenda.

Actually they were at a hard commercial break. The commercials are computer generated by time and it will cut the program any way. They brought them back after the break. So this is not complete or accurate.

Moscow has already called the incident a violation of the journalistic ethics
As if they would know anything about journalistic ethics.

Of course she thanked them, probably in fluent Russian. Undoubtedly, the family she was visiting was one of them than did not leave after the collapse of the Soviet Union. I know the Baltic states are full of them, even the Red Army officers and families that did not go back to Mother Russia.

I am very suspecious about this whole situation. From what I've heard, the city that was attacked - South Osettia (not sure of the spelling) is part of Georgia but the majority of the population there is Russian. They are on the border with Russia and they voted for their independence from Georgia a while back which was never officially recognized. The leader of Georgia (whom we've seen all over the news lately), is dead set against this, and some people call him a puppet for the US. (which wouldn't surprise me one bit) Supposedly, it was the Georgian military that attacked that town, and the Russian military stepped in to protect its former citizens.

Now, I don't in anyway condone the extent of the attacks by the Russian military, but I can certainly understand why they went in if that is in fact what happened. At the same time, Russia has to be feeling a bit antsy seeing how we (U.S.) are getting quite friendly with these other surrounding smaller countries (like Georgia) which were once part of the former Soviet Union. I mean, how would we feel if the Russians were establishing close ties with some of the states within our own country??

Not only that, but one of Mccain's advisors was a big time lobbyiest for the Georgian government.

Notice that this is yet again another oil rich region:
The oil in the Caspian basin is estimated to be worth over US $12 trillion. The sudden collapse of the USSR and subsequent opening of the region has led to an intense investment and development scramble by international oil companies. In 1998 Dick Cheney commented that "I can't think of a time when we've had a region emerge as suddenly to become as strategically significant as the Caspian."[19]

A key problem to further development in the region is the status of the Caspian Sea and the establishment of the water boundaries among the five littoral states (see below). The current disputes along Azerbaijan's maritime borders with Turkmenistan and Iran could potentially affect future development plans.

Much controversy currently exists over the proposed Trans-Caspian oil and gas pipelines. These projects would allow western markets easier access to Kazakh oil, and potentially Uzbek and Turkmen gas as well. The United States has given its support for the pipelines. Russia officially opposes the project on environmental grounds. Analysts note that the pipelines would bypass Russia completely, thereby denying the country valuable transit fees, as well as destroying its current monopoly on westward-bound hydrocarbon exports from the region. [20] Recently both Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have expressed their support for the Trans-Caspian Pipeline.[21]
