A 2007 Pontiac G6 was the big finale of a two-day giveaway ending the second year of the Stanislaus County Office of Education's "Every Day Counts" campaign to improve student attendance.

Johansen High School freshman Armando Jose Pena was presented the $14,000 car this morning. Thousands of other county students got visits from "Prize Troopersâ€

Get a reward for going to school?? Hell, I am proud I went to school here in AMERICA. I got a dam good education, and my parents paid for it, we didnt get no FREE ride.
I also went several years of college. Became a EMT and was going to go become a search and rescue in Colorado. I was accepted into the search and rescue program, which would of included me getting my paramedic.
Then I had a heart attack, no more lifting.
I went back to school and recieved a degree in Arts and Sciences.
I had to pay for school.
Here in America its a honor to go to school here, but, no days it seems you have to reward someone for going to school.

Since the invasion our schools have gone to h e double l .

Welcome - cute kid - yours? I was in Farmers branch last summer. I thought we had it bad here in northern virginia, but south farmers branch was appalling. Hundreds of illegals on the streets. Very scary.

They are probably doing this in order to keep the Federal Money coming into the schools. The more kids that show up, the more $$ they receive.
