JOPLIN, Mo - The recent high school graduate who was ripped from his father's arms and sucked out a car sunroof during the tornado in Joplin, Mo., has been found dead, his family said in an emotional press conference Saturday.

Will Norton, 18, and his father, Mark, were struck by the tornado as they drove home from the commencement ceremony for Joplin High School. Mark Norton held his son with both arms as the tornado hit, but the teen was pulled out of the car through the sunroof.

Tracey Presslor, Norton's aunt, said Mark Norton's arms were broken and his bicep was shredded, apparently damaged as he tried to hold onto his son.

Will Norton's body was found in a pond near where their car was discovered, Presslor said. "Knowing that he was gone right away was really a blessing for us and we're really thankful," she said.

The family received confirmation of his death on Friday night. Presslor said the family plans to give Mark Presslor more time to recover from his injuries before making funeral arrangements.

Norton's family has chronicled their search for the missing teen on a Facebook page, "Help Find Will Norton," which has attracted more than 49,000 followers.

Norton, who created his own YouTube channel named "Willdabeast" where he posted comedic videos, planned to study film at Chapman University in California this fall

You story proves there are miracles, it's just unfortunate that the Norton's weren't blessed with one.

I can't even begin to imagine the thought of me being the only thing standing between the life and death of one of my children. God bless Mr. Norton for doing everything humanly possible in his attempt at saving his child.

My sister-in-law was ripped from her dad's arms during a tornado and carried 300 yards away when she was 3yrs old. Her parents ran screaming her name in the darkness and rain!

And by a miracle in the distance heard a child say "Here I are!"

I sure hope it's over for a good long while, these poor people and now the mayor says no fema trailers in city limits!
