Germany Seems to have a problem with Ireland resisting imperialism. I don't think any counry should be bullied into signing the Lisbon Treaty

Germany’s attitude toward Ireland reinforces the anti-democratic EU process.

Ron Fraser In a harbinger of things to come, the Irish have aroused the ire of the European Union’s most powerful member nation, Germany.

First came Ireland’s rejection of the Lisbon Treaty. Recently, in the wake of the global financial meltdown, came its breaking of EU rules by acting unilaterally to protect its own financial institutions.

These moves are causing the true nature of the beastly European Union to emerge. The message is becoming clear: Either bow the knee to Baal in Brussels, or suffer what one German politician termed last week, “disastrous consequencesâ€

You know, I am really turned off by statements like this:
development of the EU has paralleled that of the Third Reich.
    This is just Uber Spin.

Neighborhood Associations are control freaks too.

I'm really not surprised this is happening. We all know that joining a "union" is giving away your sovereignty and submitting to control by an entity that can supersede your government. Ireland is just the first riff in the happy unified family of Europe. Other's are having problems with the open borders mandates.

I'm sure the economic downturn is putting a pinch on some of them because they have a unified curency and everyone is victim to the others bad investments.

I showed hubby this article. He says "bring it on" the Brits will sit back and laugh because they have learned first hand what happens when the Irish are pushed around. I think the Germans are forgetting that many of those who fought for Irish Independence are still alive today. He knows from talking with friends and relatives over there, Germany's pushing is going to result in the opposite of what they are hoping to achieve. The Irish government has already been told by the people that a second vote will result in 100% of the Government losing there jobs come election day. Before you laugh too hard, they have actually done this once before.
