Probably going to raise our taxes big time yet because that seems easiest and during a recession??? And when I recently heard we are in violation of federal law for letting people stay on welfare indefinately I was livid. What a bunch of weak-kneed spineless legislators and governor we have. Tough love and common sense needed asap!

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday that California's budget deficit has grown to $14.8 billion from $11.2 billion when he declared a fiscal emergency earlier this month. "California faces a growing financial crisis, and if we don't put aside our ideological differences and negotiate and solve this problem, we're heading towards a financial Armageddon," the governor said at a press conference. Noting that the deficit will cause thousands in job losses and private-sector revenues, he called on legislators to work together to come up with a solution.

And you can bet that almost 100% of those being permitted to collect indefinitely are illegal aliens who shouldn't be receiving anything in the first place

What's worse, I suspect that the reason they haven't made any move to cut these folks off is..... besides the obvious resistance from the pro-illegals in government out there.......that they are AFRAID of massive violence erupting.

I sometimes sit here and wonder just WHAT it is going to take to shut down what is obviously going on out there

What they pay out in education,healthcare,wellfare,hud housing,and other freebies for illegals probably exceeds their deficet.You have some stupid politicians out there.
