    There were a number of "green energy" initiatives already underway with Bush, and lots of patents in the works. Most of Obama's program is overkill designed to placate the unions and radical greenies and create jobs for illegal aliens. Locally we have a federal building remodel costing over $133 million--supposed to make it "green"----although some of the ideas could become useful elsewhere.
