FRESNO, Calif.- A Mexican man was arrested on suspicion of murdering four people who were bound with duct tape, shot and left in a Jeep parked in a Fresno neighborhood last summer, police Chief Jerry Dyer said.
Leopaldo Omar Diaz, 21, of Mexico was arrested in East Palo Alto on Wednesday and accused of murdering Monica Rivera, 26, Onesimo Sauceda, 26, Leobardo Ortiz, 33, and Jose Cervantes, 38.

Evidence at the crime scene linked him to the killings that are believed to be drug-related.

The four Southern California residents were likely killed elsewhere and their bodies were driven to Fresno, where they were discovered after neighbors reported that they thought people were sleeping in the Jeep.

A man with Diaz, Mauricio Arroyo-Fabien, 29, was arrested on a 2004 drug warrant, but police did not say whether he was connected to the killings.

More arrests are possible, Dyer said.
