83% Say Proof of Citizenship Shld Be Req to Get Healthcare

83% Say Proof of Citizenship Should Be Required to Get Government Health Aid

    Monday, September 07, 2009

The health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats contains many controversial items that divide the general public. However, one area of consensus among the public is the desire to restrict government health care benefits to U.S. citizens only.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of voters nationwide say that people should be required to prove they are a citizen of the United States before receiving government health care subsidies. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 12% disagree and five percent (5%) are not sure.

The desire to limit the benefits to U.S. citizens is found across demographic and partisan lines. It is held by 95% of Republicans, 70% of Democrats and 87% of those not affiliated with either major party.

It is favored by nine-out-of-10 conservatives and moderates, along with 56% of those who consider themselves politically liberal.

But 32% of liberals hold the opposite view.

There is a dispute as to whether or not the current proposals before Congress would allow illegal immigrants to receive benefits. Advocates of the congressional plan point to language saying that those in the country illegally are not covered. However, others note that there is no enforcement mechanism or requirement to check for citizenship.
In June, 80% were opposed to providing health care benefits to illegal immigrants.

As the president prepares for a major Wednesday night address to push his health care reform initiative, 53% of voters oppose the plan working its way through Congress.

One reason is that 68% believe passage of health care reform will increase the deficit.

Another is skepticism over whether political leaders even know what they are doing. Just 22% believe Congress has a good understanding of the health care legislation. The president fares a bit better: 47% believe he has a good understanding of the proposal.

Town hall meetings held by members of Congress this summer heated up with legislators often struggling to be heard. Most voters say that the town hall meetings should be for congressmen to listen, not speak.

California Proposition 187 that I voted for along with the majority of Californians back in 1994 would have eliminated health care for illegals. A just over turned it saying it was unconstitutional. I firmly believe had that law been enforced, not only would California not be the cesspool it is right now, they would not be having the financial difficulties they are having. Allowing anyone and everyone to get on the dole in California is what has lead to it's downfall. To compensate for all these expenditures the state had to raise taxes on everyone. Businesses were bailing out like crazy. Then in 2000 the census came out saying that only 49% of Californians were American born, the rest being born in every imaginable country on the planet. Another batch of people left in droves.

In reality we should have held on and fought the battle for our country. We should have stayed and demanded that our leaders protect us from the invading forces. We should have gotten wise about illegals in the mid 90's.

I believe we are at a turning point in this country. And the likes of all of us mobs, middle-class terrorists, the-over-60 crowd, racists, astro-turf and all the derogatory names the Democrats and liberals have called us, are going to demand we get it back.

YES! YES! YES! America is awake and on the move! I loved the part where it said most voters said town hall meetings are a time for Congress members to "listen, not speak." I laughed so hard I cried because that's the same as telling a naughty child "shut up and listen".

And if 83% of Americans don't want government health aid to be spent on anyone other than US citizens, then it only goes to reason that the same 83% don't want government education dollars, welfare dollars, incarceration dollars, wage dollars, public service dollars or any other dollars to be spent illegal aliens.

Time for illegal aliens to exercise their Most Wise Option which is to gather, pack, gas up and head home to their homeland of citizenship, and it's time for Congress and government officials to wake up and make sure they do, which means it's time for community colleges, universities, employers, businesses and unions to shut down all their efforts to sell out the citizens of the United States.

It's time for all members of the Open Borders Lobby to realize that their worst nightmare is having 250 million pissed off Americans on their tails, eye-balling their jobs, their salaries, their budgets, their services, their products, their hiring practices, their programs, their results, and the consequences of their betrayals.

Americans are not going to put up with this crap and the people who have caused the totally unnecessary unemployment, underemployment, hardships, indebtedness, displacement, suffering and faded dreams of American Citizens will soon be facing a payback that will be very uncomfortable and highly unpleasant.

When you violate and conspire to violate US immigration, US labor and US civil rights laws, then you have committed felonies and you have a jail cell waiting for you with your name on it, and rightly so. It won't be long before this open borders lobby will be bankrupted and put behind bars where they surely and truly belong for many many years.

    Keep Moving It Forward ALIPAC!

Americans are awake, and they are listening, learning and realizing that the very people they entrusted with their well-being and the future economic and national security of our nation and future generations have stabbed everyone of us in the back with the knife of illegal immigration and free trade treason, betrayals so grand and the consequences so devastating that it makes the French Proletariat look like strawberry pie by comparison.

These people engaged in the Open Borders Lobby have destroyed our economy, they've destroyed our solvency, they're destroyed our culture, our harmony, and tried to destroy our very essence as Americans.

But they are failing on the latter. So, now is the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of our nation, take it back and stop this nonsense once and for all. Much work is left to be done but as a united people of the United States, there isn't anything we can't do and no treason too great that we can't stop and hold everyone responsible for it accountable for their actions in courts of law.

    Just. Do. It.
