    Military support for Ron Paul

BLOG BITS: Military support for Ron Paul

    Military support for Paul

So we now know that, measured in terms of financial support, Ron Paul, the one GOP candidate who actually backs individual liberty against government power, is now ahead of Huckabee, Brownback, Thompson (Tommy) and Tancredo. He’s the alternative to the Big Three. But guess who are among his strongest supporters? The U.S. military. Paul has a staggering 52.53 percent of all military contributions.

Where in the world do folks come up with numbers like this? It is impossible to know how many military members have contributed to campaigns and who they have contributed to. I made campaign contributions while on active duty, however, not once did I indentify my rank on the check.

Until someone can provide specifics on how the Paul campaign came up with the 52.53 number, I'm forced to believe someone pulled it out of their butt.

Those contributions are from INDIVIDUALS IN the military. When I have donated, they ask me who my employer is. There are a TON of military people who support Ron Paul because he doesn't believe in lame wars...

It should be obvious of his sound principles & policies resonate with THOSE IN the military. They support him cause they are there! They know what its like, and they want to support someone with SOUND POLICY. Not some war mongors.... if ghouliani, obuma, clitton win.... welcome to a war in Iran, then syria......

When you make contributions online, they do ask who your employer is https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ The same if you download and mail in a contribution form https://www.ronpaul2008.com/files/RP2008-Reply-form.pdf

So it would be easy for any of the candidates to know where the money is coming from.

I think they ask for employer to be aware if there might be a conflict of interest. It may be that the feds ask for that in campaign finance disclosures.
