    California: Blackouts Possible this Summer, Nuclear Plant Offline

    Yet another thing we have to worry about these days, power. Unfortunately in the electronically demanding world we live in we got to have it.
    More and more cities are now experiencing what are known as “brownouts” or “blackouts”. This happens when the power grid is maxed out and the utility company has to limit power.

    This can also be seen as a form of mind control.

    A good example of this type of control can be seen at the gas pumps. Gas pumps currently limit your purchase from $50 – $100 depending on the gas stations policy.

    This in itself is dangerous.

    But what will happen as blackouts become standard?

    Will areas of the city increase in crime?

    Recently there has been speculation that there will be rolling blackouts throughout parts of California this summer.

    An Excerpt from MyDesert.com reads;

    The officials say that if a heat wave hits while the twin-reactor plant is offline, rotating blackouts are a possibility. Utilities have been scrambling to find replacement power as a precaution, including restarting two retired natural gas-fired plants in Orange County.

    Southern California Edison said in a statement that the company plans by the end of July to submit a plan to federal regulators to restart the Unit 2 reactor, where damage to tubes in its steam generators has been less severe than in its twin, Unit 3.

    A proposal to restart either reactor must be approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and that review could take weeks or longer.
