Breaking: U.S. Cruise Missiles Preparing To Strike Syria

Breaking: U.S. Cruise Missiles Preparing To Strike Syria

2 days ago | International, Politics | Posted by Ben Swann

The U.S. military is now moving cruise missiles into position for a possible strike against Syrian government forces, reports CBS News Saturday.
Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel says that this will give the President the position to move quickly if he decides to use a cruise missile strike against Syrian government forces. Sec. Hagel goes on to say that this is not an attempt to topple the Syrian government but to send a message to President Bashar al Assad that the use of chemical weapons will not be tolerated. Hagel went on to tell reporters that U.S. commanders have prepared a range of “options” for President Obama if he chooses to proceed with military strikes against Damascus.
That statement comes on the heels of the United Nations now investigating claims that chemical weapons were used in several battles between al Assad forces and rebel forces in Syria. Among the chemicals reportedly used, sarin gas. Reuters has reported that the nerve gas attack killed hundreds this week. The Assad regime has placed the blame on al Qaeda fighters who call themselves rebels. At this point, it is unclear who was behind the use of chemical weapons. It is important to note that the “who” and “what” behind these chemical weapons has not been established.
Of course now the big question not being asked by the media, “where is the military authorization for any action against Syria?” Once again we face the serious issue of whether or not the President has the authority to unilaterally declare military action against another nation. The power to declare war does not belong to the President… any President.
At this point, however, it is not even the President who should be called out for attempting to act unilaterally against another nation. It is Congress that is once again standing by and doing nothing more than abdicating its responsibility. The Congress of the United States and the Congress alone who holds the authority to declare war. Once again Congress will say nothing as this action is taken and merely react later.
The issue we face at this moment is actually bigger than the President himself acting without Constitutional authority. Congress is often called the “do-nothing Congress” and the term here certainly applies. It is the Congress that has not only the responsibility but the duty to act as the commander of U.S. forces in the Mediterranean orders Navy warships to move closer to Syria to be ready for that possible cruise missile strike. Congress has a responsibility and duty to decide if the United States will declare war against Syria. Clearly, the Syrian government has done nothing that requires the U.S. military to act to protect U.S. interests.
As I have told you the problem in Syria is dire. The situation there is much more complicated than the national media is letting on. And so far there is absolutely no indication of who is using chemical weapons the Assad regime or al-Qaeda backed fighters affectionately called “rebel forces” by our media.

Dear World, Americans Don't Want War With Syria

Open letter to the citizens of the world about our war-mongering government.

    Eric Blair
    Activist Post

    Dear World,

As the U.S. government fabricates its way into yet another aggressive war, this time in Syria, I understand why you might resent average Americans because we allow this war path to continue.

After Gaddafi's carcass was dragged through the streets of Libya, our Secretary of State told you with a demonic smirk "We came. We saw. He died." I get it, they make us look like bloodthirsty thugs.

You might think we all agree with endless wars and unlawful drone strikes. You might think we condone the indefinite detention or torture of other humans. You may think we approve of the global police state and spy grid paid for by our tax dollars. You may believe we support our government's hubris bravado to conquer the world. You may even hate us for it.

Despite what you're told on the two-way telescreen, we are not okay with what our government is doing. Our government has gone completely rogue. They don't represent us. We do not share its enthusiasm for blood. We're disgusted by it.

Like you, we just want a peaceful and fruitful life with the hope of a better future for our children. We want joy, peace, love, and the liberty to fulfill of our dreams. Obviously, our government doesn't represent these values because we are not in charge of our government. It's in charge of us.

Our representatives stopped representing our wishes long ago. They've gone to the highest bidder, which happens to be the military-industrial complex and their international financiers. Their thirst for blood is too strong for our political system to peacefully stop it. They operate in the dark and are unaccountable to us.

We're being told that our President is meeting with his war team to weigh an attack against Syria, another sovereign state who's never harmed or even threatened to harm Americans -- like the rest of its recent victims.

Although Americans have been duped into supporting such efforts in the past, the argument that our military is defending our freedom "over there" has been exhausted. "Over there" never posed a threat to our freedom. Our freedom was destroyed by the very same people selling us this lie. We know this now.

Similarly, the "humanitarian" excuse has also been exhausted. No one could sanely argue that "humanity" is better off within the borders of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, and others due to our military intervention.

Consequently, most Americans are vehemently opposed to this or any escalation of the perpetual war on terror. We do not want more war in the Middle East or anywhere else. The American people want peace.

This Associated Press story announcing Obama's Syrian war cabal has zero comments in support of military intervention. Not a single one. Instead, the comments weave a tale of cynicism, conspiracy, and corruption. It shows Americans are rapidly waking up.

We know the "war on terror" is being used as the excuse to create a global prison where a small cabal controls the resources, the corporations, the money, the governments, the press, the Internet, and the people. We know they openly fund and arm the very terrorists that they use to justify this entire scheme. And we know they don't give a crap about America anymore than they care about your nation.

Their propaganda doesn't work on us anymore. They can't hide behind political labels anymore. They can't hide behind geopolitical unions and corporations anymore. They can't hide behind religions or "humanitarian" organizations anymore. By their actions we shall know them.

A Reuters poll released today said only 25% of Americans would support military intervention in Syria if, and only if, it was proven that Assad used chemical weapons -- which is clearly still up for debate.

There is virtually no support for this war. If it happens, please know that it is not the will of the American people.

We stand with you - our human brothers and sisters - for peace, liberty, and justice against this global threat.

    In solidarity and with love.

"Doctors" Behind Syrian Chemical Weapons Claims are Aiding Terrorists

    Tony Cartalucci
    Activist Post

The "evidence" upon which the West is propping up its narrative of the Syrian government using chemical weapons against large numbers of civilians hinges so far entirely on claims made by "Doctors Without Borders." In the New York Times article, "Signs of Chemical Attack Detailed by Aid Group," it is reported:
An international aid group said Saturday that medical centers it supported near the site of a suspected chemical weapons attack near Damascus received more than 3,000 patients showing symptoms consistent with exposure to toxic nerve agents on the morning of the reported attack.

Of those, 355 died, said the group, Doctors Without Borders.

The statement is the first issued by an international organization working in Syria about the attack on Wednesday in the suburbs northeast of Damascus, the capital.
While it is often described by the Western media as "independent," nothing could be further from the truth.

To begin with, Doctors Without Borders is fully funded by the very same corporate financier interests behind Wall Street and London's collective foreign policy, including regime change in Syria and neighboring Iran. Doctors Without Borders' own annual report (2010 report can be accessed here), includes as financial donors, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Google, Microsoft, Bloomberg, Mitt Romney's Bain Capital, and a myriad of other corporate-financier interests. Doctors Without Borders also features bankers upon its Board of Advisers including Elizabeth Beshel Robinson of Goldman Sachs.

Complicating further Doctors Without Borders so-called "independ" and "aid" claims is the fact that their medical facilities are set up in terrorist-held regions of Syria, especially along Syria's northern border with NATO-member Turkey. In an interview with NPR, Doctors Without Borders' Stephen Cornish revealed the nature of his organization's involvement in the Syrian conflict, where he explains that aid is being sent to regions outside of the Syrian government's control, and that his organization is in fact setting up facilities in these areas. Cornish admits [emphasis added]:
Over the past months, we've had a surgery that was opened inside a cave. We've had another that was opened in a chicken farm, a third one in a house. And these structures, we've tried to outfit them as best as we can with enough modern technology and with full medical teams. They originally were dealing mainly with combatant injuries and people who were - civilians who were directly affected by the conflict.
In other words, the Wall Street-funded organization is providing support for militants armed and funded by the West and its regional allies, most of whom are revealed to be foreign fighters, affiliated with or directly belonging to Al Qaeda and its de facto political wing, the Muslim Brotherhood. This so-called "international aid" organization is in actuality yet another cog in the covert military machine being turned against Syria and serves the role as a medical battalion.

The "hospitals" in Damascus being supported by Doctors Without Borders are in areas now under threat of being retaken by government forces, and it's these facilities that the Western media is drawing on for "evidence" that first, a chemical attack took place, and second, that it was the government who carried it out. What the Western media is not telling their audiences, is that even Doctors Without Borders admits their own team members are not present at these medical facilities and have only been sending supplies to them - in other words, this evidence is hearsay emanating from terrorist held areas, merely dressed up and spun as actual evidence from a so-called "reputable" international organization.

In Doctors Without Borders' own official statement, it was reported that:
Since 2012, MSF has built a strong and reliable collaboration with medical networks, hospitals and medical points in the Damascus governorate, and has been providing them with drugs, medical equipment and technical support. Due to significant security risks, MSF staff members have not been able to access the facilities.
    It was further explained that:
“MSF can neither scientifically confirm the cause of these symptoms nor establish who is responsible for the attack,” said Dr. Janssens.
It is most likely hoped that the vast majority of those reading their news simply take the compromised Western media for their word and never bother to read what Doctors Without Borders actually is doing in Syria or what they even really said regarding the most recent incident. A similar routine was used in Libya where Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International spent their legitimacy attempting to create a pretext for Western military intervention there.
