•-- California-born al Qaeda member Adam Gadahn speaks out against U.S. troops on a video that has been released by As-Sahab, the terror network's video-production outfit.

The video deals primarily with the London subway bombings of 2005, but includes a five-minute speech from Gadahn, in English, in which the American lashes out at allegations of war crimes recently leveled at U.S. troops in Iraq.

Mentioned specifically are alleged incidents in Mahmoudiya and Haditha. A U.S. Army private faces charges of raping and killing an Iraqi woman in Mahmoudiya, and the U.S. military is investigating allegations that Marines killed 24 civilians in Haditha in November.

In the video, Gadahn says the incidents represent a pattern of U.S. and British brutality toward Muslims, and he says he saw U.S. soldiers kill civilians in Afghanistan.

"They have murdered thousands of Afghan civilians," he says. "I have seen it with my own eyes, carried the victims in my own arms. You name it, they have bombed it." (Watch American jihadist accuse U.S. of murder -- 3:24).

The video was broadcast Thursday on the Arabic-language television network Al-Jazeera.

Gadahn has appeared in previous al Qaeda videos wearing a mask, but his face is uncovered in the new video.

Gadahn is wanted in connection with possible terrorist threats against the United States, according to the FBI.

"Although the FBI has no information indicating this individual is connected to any specific terrorist activities, the FBI would like to locate and question this person," the agency's Web site states.

He has several aliases, including Abu Suhayb Al-Amriki, Abu Suhayb, Yihya Majadin Adams and Adam Pearlman, the FBI states.

According to a manifesto penned in 1995 and posted on a University of Southern California Web site, Gadahn was reared on a California goat farm and home-schooled by Christian parents.

He found Islam after moving into his grandparents' Santa Ana home, where he began exploring Internet message boards about religion and reading English translations of the Quran.

"You see, I discovered that the beliefs and practices of this religion fit my personal theology and intellect as well as basic human logic," Gadahn wrote in the essay.

    London bombings
The majority of the videotape deals with the London bombings and states that two of the suicide bombers received explosives training at al Qaeda camps.

The narrator of the 30-minute tape says that suicide bomber Shehzad Tanweer "received, along with the martyr (Mohammad) Sidique Khan, focused and practical instruction on the manufacture of explosives and their use at the camps of Qaeda al-Jihad."

The tape includes footage of men mixing explosives and carrying out small explosions, but it's not clear if the men in the video are the London bombers.

Khan and Tanweer traveled to Pakistan in October 2004, returning to Britain in February 2005, five months before they carried out the London bombings, along with Germaine Lindsay and Hasib Hussain.

Al Qaeda's deputy leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, who last year first praised and then claimed credit for the London bombing on behalf of al Qaeda, said Tanweer was motivated by Britain's role in Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza and the West Bank.

"That's why Shehzad came to the camps of Qaeda al-Jihad and spent a period of time with Mohammad Sidique," al-Zawahiri said on the tape. "Both of them were seeking martyrdom and wished they could carry out a martyrdom operation. They were both very insistent on that, and if the brothers discussed something else they would pay them no heed."

Tanweer, speaking in English on the video, says non-Muslims in Britain may wonder "what you have done to deserve this."

"You continue to oppress," he says. "Your government has openly supported the genocide of over 150,000 innocent Muslims in Falluja."

The video also contains recent clips from bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed by U.S. troops in Iraq last month.

CNN's Henry Schuster contributed to this report.

I don't know what went on in Haditha, as far as I know the matter is still under investigation. I will not condem our soldiers. They are fighting a deplorable war, never knowing who the enemy is because they all dress alike. Our soldiers are there fighting for America's freedoms and rights, surely our soldiers have at least the same rights and freedoms as you and I do. In America, you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, do our soldiers not have this same right as we do? Why is the media, the public ,and even our "esteemed" Senator John Murtha, who was once a soldier himself, so ready to condem our soldiers in the eyes of the whole world without so much as an indictment against them? When everyone says,"we stand behind our soldiers 100 percent, is that true or is that just lip service? If our soldiers, committed these war time crimes then I want them punished to the full extent of the law, until then, I will continue to stand behind them and support them as they deserve to be supported.
What I do know, is terroist, insurgents whatever you want to call them, stopped a school bus carrying 25 small Iraqi school children, then separated the four Suni children from the Sheit children, then brutally and without mercy killed these small children with as little compassion you or I would show stepping on a spider. I believe this brutal act against the most innocent of us, the children, might have made the headlines for one day. I also know that instead of really making war on our soldiers over there, these same brave men, have killed thousands and thousands of their own people like so many cattle led to slaughter, descrecated, their own religious mosque's of which they try to convince us are such holy places and off limits to us, the infidels, these men hold no human life dear, not even their own, who throw their lives away so easily for the promise of paradise and 70 virgins, dare to come out and condem us for atrocities committed against "their" people! Why do we listen day in and day out to their stupid videos and give credence to these jihadist who in the name of Allah, love to part innocent victims from their heads and show videos of these acts to anyone who wants to watch this brutality?
If our media would stop giving them air time making over their stupid videos, this war might be over a whole lot sooner!
I say to these "brave warrior jihadist, kiss my butt, you have no right whatsover, condemming anything you think our soldiers might have done to your people, what is the problem? You think it is ok for you to slaughter , maim, and blow up your own people for God's sake, how much worse is that then for strangers to do the same I ask? You are truly lower then the lowest animals to commit these acts against your own people, paradise you say? I say you will be in hell the minute death closes your eyes, with 70 demons raking hot coals over your body instead of 70 nubile virgins. One more thing, from the American media and the world human rights watch dogs out there, where is the public outcry against these animals and the acts they committ, give our soldiers a break until they are tried and convicted, where is the outcry for these little innocent children jerked off a school bus and slaghtered like animals, at least as much condemnation for the acts committed against them as for the ones you think was committed against the civilians of Haditha. We do know how they were killed, we don't know what really happened at Haditha! I didnt see Murtha get up and shed one tear for these little children, did anyone else?

I do not condem our soldiers either. I haven't seen any of the ones who did the horrible things to our soldiers held accountable and they are happy to say, I did it. Or the ones who killed innocent children.

War is not pretty or rational or logical. I don't know what they expect it to be.

crazybird, Good for you. Do you remember when the terroist pulled those poor people out of that car, tortured them in the streets, burning their bodies, then hanging them from the bridge? Did you hear the media or the public for that matter, lamblasting those barbaric people for what they did to innocent victims there trying to make things better for the Iraqi people? We didn't hear much about that did we? A few stories, in the news for a day or 2 then gone and forgotten. that is why I think they just keep on coming, they think maybe our media and the rest of the world are on their side, with the unfair biased way they choose to report the news, I am beginning to believe that also!

Yes....I do remember. I could not beleive it. I just didn't think this kind of stuff happened. I had nightmares thinking of those poor men. I thought they threw bombs..shot people..but cut their heads off and burn them and other tortures and they're pissin and moanin about underpants on their heads because of the relegious shame? Sorry......if I was around that as long as these soldiers have been.......I seriously don't think I could remain as civil in an uncivilized world.

If rational, logical and peaceful means can't get anywhere......and it's gone to a war with people that have no value for life.....then I'm sorry. This is war...there are no rules anymore. It's not normal and it's impossible to make sense out of insanity. But this government is hell bent trying to MAKE us make sense out of it and punishing our soldiers for caving under the pressure.

Maybe they are mean guys. I don't know. But what do they call that? Colareral damage....or something like that. Tons of innocent people have gotten killed and hurt and injured and tortured in war. That's why you avoid it when it's at all possible. Alot of our soldiers come home so messed up either physically and or mentally that you know it has to be a living nightmare. For many it destroys their lives. And they do it for our freedom.

If this isn't to be expected. Then maybe they ought to have cage matches or play computer games. Bush said it would be a different war and I figured it would have to get bad. But not put people in a war and then punish them for doing the job or caving under the pressure is crazy. Then come home and can't get a job and all the rest...

    It bothers me........

I would really like to know if there are any ongoing investigations concerning some of these insurgents they have captured in the war there? Where are the trials for these monsters that kill and maim their own people? How come there haven't been a few public hangings of these jihadist? All we hear from our media is the investigations being done on behalf of our soldiers! I am sick of it, I am not saying I condone any of these crimes they have been accused of, but damit, I refuse to condem them until they have been tried and convicted. I would also like to know why John Kerry was not investigated and given a military trial for aiding and abetting the enemy of North Vietnam while still in the reserves at the time he was over there having talks with them?

YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT PANTIES ON THE HEAD BEING AGAINST THE RELIGION OF THE JIHADIST, I AM SURE THAT MOST CHRISTIAN RELIGIONS FORBID THE PARTING OF THE HEAD FROM THE BODY BY ONES ENEMIES, WHY IS THAT NOT A CONSIDERATION FOR OUR PEOPLE TAKEN CAPTIVE BY THESE SAME JIHADIST THAT ARE SO CONCERNED WITH RELIGION?
