Post Three Republican Women Just Beat Beyonce For Most Admired Woman In The World

Three Republican Women Just Beat Beyonce For Most Admired Woman In The World

    By Brian Thomas

Gallup has just released its annual lineup of the men and women polls show Americans admire most.
For men, Barrack Obama beat Donald Trump by just three percentage points. Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama topped the list for women.

President Trump, though, wasn’t the only Republican most admired by the American public. Vice President Mike Pence also made the men’s list and John McCain came in fifth, beating Elon Musk and Bernie Sanders.

    From Gallup:
Joining Clinton, Queen Elizabeth II and Winfrey in the top 10 this year are Michelle Obama, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, first lady Melania Trump, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Beyonce Knowles. Trump, Haley and Knowles are new to the top 10. Rice has finished in the top 10 17 times, Obama 10 times, Merkel five times, and Warren and the duchess four times each.
Clinton was the choice of 22% of Democrats, with Obama next at 12%. Among independents, Obama had 8% of mentions and Clinton 5%. No woman registered 5% among Republicans, with Rice named by 4% and Clinton, Trump and Haley named by 3%. Republicans are much more likely to name relatives (19%) than Democrats (9%) or independents (12%) are.

Despite missing out on the number one and number two slots, three noted Republican women made the top ten list.

    7. Condoleezza Rice

The former Secretary of State came just behind Queen Elizabeth II in ranking, but beat out ‘the Queen B’ by four ranks.

    8. Melania Trump

First Lady Melania came in eighth. While former First Lady turned twice-failing presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, may have outranked her by several slots, Gallup admits Clinton’s popularity has drastically declined over the years.

    9. Nikki Haley

The current US Ambassador to the United Nations has certainly made an impact in the hearts and minds of the public as “the voice of America.”

The number one slots may have both been Democrats, but their popularity has dramatically declined, according to Gallup.

    From Gallup:
Clinton’s and Obama’s standings this year are more tenuous than in the past. The 9% who name Clinton is the lowest percentage she has received since 2002, when 7% named her in another close first-place finish. Clinton won the title this year in the same poll she registered a personal low favorable rating. This indicates she remains top of mind for enough people who like her to be named more than any other woman in response to the open-ended question, finishing ahead of some women who may be better liked overall but are not as prominent in people’s minds.

The percentage of adults naming Obama as the most admired man is down from 22% last year, but he has been at or near 17% in several other years.

Here’s the full Gallup list of both men and women since 2013:

Condoleezza Rice, Melania Trump, and Nikki Haley all beat Beyonce in percentage of Americans who admired them most.

Beyonce fans have nothing on these Republican leaders.
