Thank God for the Navy Seals, the Captain is
" FREE," three pirates dead, 4th captured. This is a
Easter Miracle ...God Bless The Navy Seals...Now
maybe they'll think twice of screwing with the United
States, Every boat should have Sharp Shooters on it,
to stop this insanity...

Been listening to this all day. Apparently lots of ships are being held with hostages on board waiting for ransom. The Saudis paid $3 million for the release of their oil tanker.
And God bless the crew of the Maersk Alabama for doing their best to fight off these guys with water hoses, because if I am not mistaken, according to international treaty, no merchant ships are allowed to be armed. The shipping companies could hire private guards, but it is cheaper for them to pay the insurance premiums and get reimbursed by the insurance companies, than trying to protect their crews. Money, money, money!

You are right. I think now is the time for
all countries to have sharp shooters aboard their
ships maybe Somalia and it's gang of Warlords and
all the pirates will think twice , maybe all countires
should join forces and make an invasion to "FREE"
the hostages...These bandits have to be stopped , I
say don't waste the tax papyers money and put them
on trial , have a high seas trial and execution, maybe
they'll think twice , we have to stop being so soft..

If they're worried about explosive projectiles puncturing and igniting fumes, there are certainly other types of weapons that could be used or devised to make a pirate have a bad day. Anyone grappling up the side of my ship should be fair game for whatever I feel like doing to him. I read where some of the big ships don't even notice till they're boarded. There are ways to prevent that with technology we already have.

Good point! Disable them first, maybe with tear gas. We need to take some aggressive action against would be pirates. Then if they are not actual pirates they can be released.

I thought for sure that Obama would have order a Ramson paid. This sure came as a surprise.
