NOTE: This was just too bizarre to pass up:

TALLAHASSEE — The Senate unanimously passed a bill this morning that would ban replicas of male genitalia on vehicles, commonly known as "truck nutz."

The Senate's Highway Safety Bill (SB 1992), however, conflicts with the House's version, which doesn't include the amendment banning the vehicle ornaments often seen hanging off the back of pickup trucks.

If made law, the bill would allow officers to ticket drivers $60 for the displays.

Weston Democrat Sen. Nan Rich, who has tried in vain for her bill allowing officers to stop motorists for seat-belt violations, criticized the amendment.

"I found it quite interesting when I looked at this bill and we see we want police now to stop people and use their valuable time stopping people for dangling replicas of male genitalia from their trucks," Rich said. "There is no (bill) that would allow police to stop people for not wearing their seat belts, which, I think you will agree, would save many lives - as a matter of fact, about 192 a year."

The vote was 37-2, with Sen. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami, and Sen. Bill Posey, R-Rockledge, dissenting.

I'm in Colorado and I've been seeing them everywhere. Thanks for explaining, as I was wondering what the heck, but not sure which search terms to put in Google, even. Now, some cars wear a bra .....

How is this any different than the images of boys urinating on a Chevy or Ford emblem? I frequently see those images on the rear windshields of trucks.

Whatever happened to the freedom to express oneself through speech, writing, art, clothing, hair, etc.? Next they'll probably be taking those bare breasted hula girls of the dashboards of 18-wheelers.

I would imagine that guys who don't have any "--" themselves want this for their vehicle. Surrogate cajones. DISGUSTING display in my opinion and freedom of expression does not mean people can wave their parts (or lack of them) in your face!!
