[Watch] Senator Feinstein’s Husband Selling U.S. Post Offices In Shady Deals

Investigative journalist Peter Byrne has done a lot of digging into the financial wheeling and dealing of Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein and her husband, real estate developer and investment banker, Richard Blum. Right now, post offices are a hot item. Not so much because everybody suddenly wants a new one, but more because of price controls.

Blum, (Mr. Feinstein) has a company of which he is the chairman called CBRE Group, Inc. If you are in the market for some real estate at a bargain basement price, especially one that is owned by the federal government, get in touch with Richard. Post offices are his specialty and he, along with his wife and Goldman Sachs has made quite a tidy sum of money from a little scheme which allows for sales at some very attractive prices.
When you can sell the American people’s property cheap, and then get in on the other side of the deal, there’s a lot of money to be made. And who wouldn’t love to own their own Post Office? They are great buildings, often in super locations.

SAN FRANCISCO | Dianne Feinstein's husband, Investment banker Richard Blum, has been selling post offices across the country to his business associates. He is chairman of the CBRE Group, which is the largest commercial real estate firm in the world.

The postal service awarded a contract to CBRE to sell unused properties and buildings. That agreement was made in 2011.

This decision has caused some critics to charge the USPS with moving toward franchising its locations. If this happens, business associates of Feinstein and Blum stand to make a lot of money.

Investigative reporter Peter Byrne started looking into the activities of Blum and CBRE. What he found was a pattern of acquiring the properties from taxpayers at bargain rates, and then selling the real estate to business associates and friends.

The reporter spent years investigating Dianne Feinstein. His book, Senator Warbucks, received awards from the California Newspaper Publisher's Association and Project Censored.

Peter Byrne now has a new book. This latest work from the investigative journalist takes a close look at the developing real estate scandal. The book is called Going Postal. This latest work from Byrne reveals multiple conflicts of interest, and a damning audit of Blum being covered up by the Obama Administration.

Peter Byrne is our guest on the show today. He is here to talk to us about the post office controversy, the possible role played by Senator Feinstein and his new book available at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Going-Postal-Se...

In fact, with prices this good, CBRE sometimes can’t resist buying them themselves. And since CBRE gets to put the value on the property, they are sure to be pleased with the deal.
Big money and conflicts of interest are nothing new to the world of politics. But Mr. and Mrs. Feinstein really outdid themselves with this one. Their creativity and total lack of disgrace in the pillaging of their country should bring them great recognition.
Unfortunately, some of that recognition may be slow in coming, as they have labeled the most revealing components with a “national security” tag. It helps to be on the Senate Intelligence Committee, I guess.
Watch this video and you’ll be amazed at the arrogance, impunity and the audacity with which these people operate. Or maybe it’s just what we expect out of our “representative” government, which really only represents their own private interests.
