States can't ‘nullify’ health law

The passage of a national health care law has resurrected among some conservative ideologues and politicians the archaic theory of “nullification.â€

Health care is now the law of the land, not just law in those states which gave their electoral votes to the Democrats and Barack Obama.

One falacy with this article is that Obama may have made it a law and states contest it,but Obama also waivered many unions and some states from having to abide by it. That's not right

. . . More than 700 one-year waivers -- 733, as of Jan. 26 -- have been granted under the Obama administration. But not all went to companies and labor unions. Some were granted to counties, cities, school districts and other local government entities. And the waivers apply only to the provision of the health-care law regarding annual benefit caps. They do not exempt the employers from complying with the entire health-care law. Four waivers have gone to state governments.
