Minnesota "purity of marriage act" a new law?
Dubed the "loveless couples" act. You won't believe this one!
Newsroom: New Law Would Ban Marriages Between People Who Don't Love Each Other (youtube)

Report:
The Onion has reported that Minnesota has proposed a bill that will ban marriage between two people who don't love each, prompting hordes of loveless marriage supporters to take to the streets in protest. The "Purity of Marriage Act" would nullify 53% of marriages, including all the sexless couples who define marriage as "sitting silently in front of the TV set for twenty years." Paralleling the fight for gay rights, one woman made it clear: "We didn't choose to feel nothing for each other; that's just the way we are."

On the assumption this is a parody of CA's Proposition 8;
If Judge Walker's ruling on the Prop. 8 holds through appeals I think you can realistically expect plenty of gaming of the System. Homo. couples will get married to someone who can get them benefits, then move off to join someone else. They will be jockeying to get benefits for their kids, if they have any of their own. The US taxpayers will be saddled with greater burdens, in paying Social Security and even Veteran's benefits. (Of course, on top of the bennies we pay out as the world's welfare dept.)
The Family Law courts will be clogged, since they are already operating at capacity. Lawyers will love it, though---they always win as social standards break down."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

Why is it always "their rights" they fight for but it is the right to rip off society that gets the bill.
