Daniels lawyer offers to send gift basket to Fox News after Giuliani interview

Daniels lawyer offers to send gift basket to Fox News after Giuliani interview

By Max Greenwood - 05/03/18 08:28 AM EDT

Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti on Thursday suggested that he may send a gift basket to the hosts of "Fox & Friends," after a pair of recent interviews with President Trump and one of his lawyers, Rudy Giuliani.

"Whatever happens @foxandfriends, please do not stop helping our case week in and week out by having Mr. Trump and Mr. Giuliani appear and make damaging stmts," Michael Avenatti tweeted. "You are truly THE BEST; where can we send the gift basket?"

Both Trump and Giuliani have appeared on Fox News in recent days for interviews that Avenatti has claimed bolster Daniels's case in a lawsuit seeking to void a nondisclosure agreement with Trump and his personal attorney Michael Cohen.

That nondisclosure agreement — and an accompanying $130,000 payment to the adult-film actress — was intended to bar Daniels from speaking publicly about an alleged affair with Trump that occurred more a decade ago.

In an interview on "Fox & Friends" last week, Trump acknowledged that Cohen had represented him in dealings with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.

Then, in an appearance on Fox News' "Hannity" on Wednesday, Giuliani made a bombshell revelation that Trump had reimbursed Cohen for the $130,000 payment to Daniels, contradicting the president's past claim that he knew nothing of the transaction.

Trump on Thursday acknowledged in a tweet that he did reimburse Cohen for the payment, but insisted that it was necessary to protect himself against Daniels' "false and extortionist accusations," and that none of the money came from his presidential campaign.

"The agreement was used to stop the false and extortionist accusations made by her about an affair, despite already having signed a detailed letter admitting that there was no affair," Trump wrote in a pair of tweets.

If I were Jonathan Turley, I would stop advertising this underworld character named Michael Avenatti was one of his students at George Washington University Law School. Bad for GW Law and bad for Turley.

Two things are clear to me.

    1. Trump fired Comey because Comey is a nut-job.

    2. Trump paid Daniels because he didn't think she would adhere to the agreement for which she was paid the $130,000 and he'd make a lot of money on her failure to do so. Last count a couple of months ago was $20 million and it's been rising every day she and her attorney talk about it so it's up to $30 million or $40 million now.

On the bright side, Daniels will probably have a tremendous malpractice suit against Avenatti. Daniels wants to make money from her "story", a book, a movie, a whatever that causes people like this to do and say these things to begin with.

    We'll see.

Even if Cohen improperly used the money, I don't think that should have any bearing of whether the non-disclosure agreement is valid. She accepted the money and has violated what she agreed to.

She should lose and be liable for violating the agreement. And her recourse should only be suing Michael Avenatti!

Stormy Daniels Plots Strip Tour to Promote 'Penthouse' Cover

    Courtesy of Penthouse

The tour kicks off May 7 in Philadelphia, with stops in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Detroit.
President Trump shocked when he revealed on an April 26 Fox & Friends segment that his longtime attorney Michael Cohen "represented" him in a "crazy" deal with Stormy Daniels, after previously denying knowledge of the $130,000 payment made to the adult film star who claims she had an extramarital affair with the president.

The news comes too late to be included in Daniels’ highly anticipated Penthouse spread, a move many are viewing as an acknowledgement of her diehard fan base. The adult magazine scored an exclusive interview and photo shoot with Daniels for the May/June double issue (out May , and to promote it, Daniels is going all in.

THR has learned that the 39-year-old Daniels will take off on a multicity tour that will include stops at four Penthouse Clubs, kicking off May 7 in Philadelphia. Daniels then stops in Louisiana at two Penthouse locations — New Orleans and Baton Rouge — before stopping in Detroit. The appearances will feature Daniels performing and doing meet and greets with fans during which she will sign merchandise featuring her Penthouse cover of a nearly nude Daniels wrapped in the American flag. THR has also learned that it was important to Daniels that the Penthouse shoot feature her tattoos so her fans knew that it was a new photo shoot.

A rep for the magazine tells THR that demand for the Daniels issue is high and a second printing is already being planned. The magazine estimates readership to total around 350,000.

Stormy Daniels is performing at Philly’s Club Risque in November

The adult film star — in the news for her alleged affair with President Donald Trump — has booked three nights in town.

There is pretty much no chance we can anticipate what twists and turns the news will take over the next seven months, but one thing is certain:
This November, Stormy Daniels will be performing in Philadelphia.

Yes, the woman born Stephanie Gregory Clifford — whose allegations of an affair with President Donald Trump have the White House on the defensive, whose interview on 60 Minutes garnered the show’s highest ratings in a decade, whose cheery Twitter replies to those calling her a “whore” rake in thousands of retweets — will be strutting her sisterly self for the City of Brotherly Love this fall.

Club Risque is the local outfit that successfully executed the Stormy snag, booking the adult film star for three nights, one at each of its area locations.
Even though she’s in high demand right now, it wasn’t all that tough to score the big name, a Risque marketing manager told Billy Penn, because the club has such a good reputation.

“We typically book A-list talent,” said the marketing manager, who declined to provide a name but was willing to discuss the topic when reached by phone at the club’s offices. “We usually work with one particular agent — and [Daniels] happens to work with that agent.”

Adult film stars are featured at Risque approximately once a month, the manager estimated, and the show includes more than just a stage dance.

“The best part,” said the manager, “is after they perform, they do a meet and greet — so people get the opportunity to meet them one on one. For someone you see all the time remotely, that’ sa really cool thing.”
The schedule for Stormy in Philly will be as follows:

    • Nov. 8: 10 p.m. in Northeast Philly
    • Nov. 9: 10 p.m. and 12 midnight on Columbus Boulevard
    • Nov. 10: 10 p.m. and 12 midnight in Bristol

No advance tickets will be sold. The events are all first come, first served, with a cover charge paid at the door, which could range anywhere from $15 to $35, per the Risque manager. Once inside, there’s a cash bar, a wide selection of cigars for sale, and also food — “if people are interested in things like that.” Here is the Facebook page for the event.

So yeah. Even if there’s no big presidential-related news between now and then (which, who knows?), the Stormy Daniels name is likely to draw huge crowds. But it won’t necessarily be all men.
“We get a lot of groups of friends, and couples, especially nowadays,” said the Risque employee. “It’s really a great environment for everyone. It’s really not all [single] guys.”
