Amid the depressing data released by the US Census Bureau this past Tuesday — which depicts a nation in the throes of what we are told is a now-over recession — there was one very surprising finding: Things have been better in New York City and state than almost anywhere else.

The lost of the middle class started in the 80's as we begun trade with China since then the greed of corporations and stock holders increased yearly with the desire for higher profits along with the increased taxes to fund a ever growing federal government.
The middle class in America is doomed unless we understand we must return to a manufacturing base for our economy if not we will see an increased rich/poor society.
Certainly some grow rich in a consumer based society but only manufacturing (producing and selling quality products) will insure a strong middle class and freedom.I'm old with many opinions few solutions.
