I hear it is as good as many.
There sure are a bunch of system killing critters out there.
My security software works overtime these days.
Sure can not afford a crashed system at this point and time
I update spyware, diconnect, and full system deep scan in the morn.Go to work
Before bed, update virus software, disconnect, and full system deep scan. go to bed
Part of my daily routine..Might be overkill but sure aint gonna hurt anything.

MSE is the BEST!! I have been using it on both of my puters for more than a year and it works great. And its free. I have had other security in the past, but it was way more burdensome and did not work as well. I recommend MSE to anyone who needs basic protection on their home computer. Updates are fast and effective. You can scan in the background without slowing your puter down too much ...although it slows slightly.

This is the new replacement for Windows Live One Care, which Microsoft no longer updates.

I did a quick scan and it didn't find anything.

As I went to bed I connected a flash drive and did a FULL SCAN.
Got up this morning and it said it found something and removed it.
I don't know if it was on the flash drive or deep in the system.

It works, and you can't beat the price. FREE.

Yes ...I previously had One Care. I really didnt think it was that great. But it did work. However, it was very hard to use and to update. But the improvements they made were good. Now MSE is a great product. They use to charge money for One Care too. Yep. With MSE you can just program it to scan on a regular basis....and it does all the rest. It can automatically create restore points so if you get hit, you can just go back a couple of days and you are ok. In fact that just happened to me several days ago. It only took me like 15 minutes to get it up and running again. And ...oh yea...you can't beat FREE!
