She has the same figure, and a lot of the same likes and dislikes that Mom had. I even had a goosepimpling experience when we were getting her her birthday gift for her 16th birthday last March. She always wanted earings and matching necklace with her birthstone. which is amethist, so I let her pick out what she wanted, and I had to save for a good 6 months to get them, but while we were looking at the jewelry in the cases, and I mentioned to her that I was going over to another display, and was facing away, when she made a comment, that stopped me dead in my tracks, as the phrase, and the way she said it, almost made me turn around and say, "Mom"? It was very eerie. The only explanation I can come up with is my Mom's spirit has gravitated to my daughter, and watches over her.
It is so amazing that she was born a little over 2 years after her gramma passed away, and yet how much alike they are, is astounding.
Genetics are a thing of wonder. :)Quote:

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

With regret we have left the American legion we will no longer be cooking there. As to we where, my husband was spending a lot of time there, and harley earning any money. Buisness was at a crawl. No buisness, no money, so we decided to leave and he is now looking elsewhere.
I am haveing now some problems with the pain in the leg, near the right calf of my lower leg. We are at a standstill right now. He went looking today, and have some options, the one at the sports bar sounds good, but, you never know.
I pray for protection for all my friends here at ALIPAC, keep them safe LORD. Help them in there time of need and if they get discourage let them know you are there for them, as well as everyone else is here, for everyone else. I trust you will help us with this fight, against all evils of this world, and who are trying to distory this great Country AMERICA.
AMEN.

You are welcome Working. :) Yes Georgia we can depend on God to be there for us no matter how turbulent things get. :)
Let us be thankful this week and let us make this a priority. As we see the world situation changing and as we see lives of people around us change, let us make it a priority to start our day with thankful hearts. Thankful for life, for another opportunity to make changes in our lives, thankful to know love and to be able to love others, thankful for what we do have and thankful to have the ability to share if we can.
We may know or be one of the people who have been affected by this economic downturn, but we must not lose faith and hope and the attitude of a grateful heart. Let others love you and share your concerns and needs.
There are many ways to be thankful and to give out of the appreciative heart. If you can give nothing else but love, how wonderful. To be a vessel that God can give His love is the greatest gift of all.
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you all. :)
King JamesQuote:
Colossians 3:15-17
15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Thanks for the lovely words Georgia and have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)

koobster, thank you for allowing us to pray for you and your husband. Keep focused on how very much that the Lord cares for you, and may you both keep believing and working for the right place for your husband. I hope that this will be soon.

Don't lose faith koobster. There is something out there. Look for another door to walk through. Let him know that people are praying for him and encourage him to not let the words that nothing is available discourage him. God can make a way where there seems no way as we know. :)
There are so many needs, we must lift one another up.
Lovely picture April.

The Lord answered some prayers in So.California. There is alot of rain and snow coming down there. Finally the Lord heard the prayers of the citizens there, and opened up the clouds. It's a shame that a great majority of the rain is channeling down the L.A. and Santa Ana rivers back towards the sea rather than being channeled into reservoirs where it can be used for drinking water for future generations.
For some reasons, "GREED", the local politicians feel as though buildings being built by illegal aliens is more profitable than agriculture, so the Bread Basket of the World is being smothered with apartment units and logistics facilities. Agriculture used to be big there, but now is too unprofitable due to water rates being sky high. Hmmm...
It appears that The Lord was generous enough to give much needed rain, but man didn't harness the water for future generations. :?:

Happy Birthday Jesus. What will we bring Him for a birthday present? I hope that we will love and serve and give to as many as we are able this Christmas time. We need to share Jesus' love, there is so much to do for Him.
God Bless you and thank you Jesus.

I was just thinking this same thing as we get our second storm in a week today. I never thought rain would look so beautiful! Thanks Jesus! :DQuote:

You could say that we were on the front lines of it, although at the time we would hear President Bush say that the economy was strong. That hurt us so badly to hear that. It was like pouring salt on the wound. At the time I didn't blame him for what was happening to us, but we felt so badly when we would hear him denying what was clearly happening. It made everything feel much worse and even made it more frightening to us.
To call it a "trying time" would be an understatement. We kept our faith and never gave up, but at times we felt we would lose our minds, nevermind our faith. My husband never waivered in his faith. I was so proud of him and it did finally come to an end. We're still not completely recovered, but things continue to get better and better.
Our lay-off hit the beginning of 2007. Because of it we remain slightly on edge.....but there's not much one can do but to go to work everyday and say a prayer everynight.
We can't live in fear. But I urge you to pull on your faith and your friends
during a time such as this.
God Bless you and your family and I hope and pray that relief will come for you soon.
