Just called Durbin wanted him to know that his actions are driving me away from a Democratic 2008 candidates. Not taking calls.
I do not know how to do the color on this board, but would like to learn Gogo.

I emphasized that since Senator McCain was running for President he should support the Constitution, our laws and protect the American people by not giving benefits to illegal aliens.

Does anyone have any info on Senator Kyl? I can't find him on any list.
That is true but they don't know I'm visiting my mother.Quote:

My point about Sen. Thune was that his staff said he also would vote against any increases in H-1B or H-2A immigrant Visas. A number of people are including opposition to these in their calls against the DREAM ACT. This constant jumping on my posts by members here takes so much time which could be used for more constructive things!
Heads up: Regarding Lindsey Graham who NumbersUSA lists as a "NO" vote, note in today's Washington Times article (9/20), sounds like he could vote for the Dream Act amnesty. Excerpt:
"Even Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who was one of the most vocal Republican champions of the president's immigration bill, was noncommittal yesterday.
"I support the Dream Act, but I'll just have to see how it affects this policy," he said."

So, I believe we should include him in our calls. If anyone has spoken with his office, please post. PLEASE CALL HIM.
He's either lying to us and Numbers or he's lying to the paper. Either way we need this guy out of office.
:x
Specters office is inundated with "No's". I had the same experience as earlier. "OK I give him your position." What position? I'm calling to find out his position. I take it he's getting a lot of calls. "Yes" I'll give you my position but what is his, (the usual not one yet) What do you think my position is? "I think it's NO." Are you getting a lot of "NO" calls. Yes and we both laughed. I said well add me too please and rest your ear if you can. Laughter. "Thanks have good day" We have to get them laughing a little too. They are tired and we need them on our side.
I will call Senator Graham's Office next. Just spoke with Senator Mark Pryor's Office in Little Rock.

Graham's office is open until 6:00 pm. Just called but was sent to voice mail. I did get a No vote committment from one of his staffers yesterday. So, now what's going on...is he flipping because of Durbin's deals?
Just called Senator Graham's Office in Washington and they said he is a NO. I let them know it was reported somewhere that he may be undecided. She said NO and I said I am a NO too. We laughed.
Call his Washington Office and press 2. You will get a staffer. They are open till 6PM I believe.

Hello
I hope thats what you wanted to know! if not ignore it
Yes but this was also in the article:
"It won't survive cloture," said Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, referring to the 60-vote threshold needed to pass contentious measures in the Senate.
Anyone know if this is even going to come up today? Been watching cspan all I can but have heard nothing..
zeezil, I may have been talking to staffer when you called.
Briefly, does anyone know the status as of now -- has the Senate recessed for today?
If so, what's the game plan -- fill up voice mails & fax tonight?
Thanks I'll try it.Quote:

Landrieu office was very interested in my telling them that my friends kids are staying home and watching C-Span as a civic lesson and the they are angry and wondering why the Senators want to represent foreigners who have broken our laws over American citizens. I told them they may lose a generation or two of American children from the Democratic party. I said, I don't think they have thought this through. He was VERY interest in that take on it.
Listening to Hannity in the car and the Dream Act isn't on his talking points list for some reason. Although Dick Morris did stress that the new SCHIP(in guise of more Healthcare for American children ) was Hillary's and the Democrats getting Americans to pay for children of illegal aliens; and that if she's elected.. her and corporate America, will make sure all illegals receive free healthcare.
Will start calling my list, unless they're certain senators I need to call immediately. Martinez's (Orlando 32819, 32820) staff said no to Dream Act as long as it's on the Defense bill. I added him after I read the Dream Act Portal site yesterday. Kyl is suppose to make statement.

I want to use this against my Senators who did support this legislation.
