Bingo! and add an "Amen" to that. It's the concealment that really belies what this man said about bringing us an Open and Transparent new administration.Quote:

They mentally map out how a relatively small group (statistically speaking) might be able to make a big noise (lots of mail, email, phone calls) on a given issue, and then they have their staffers write weasel-worded form letters trying to put a "good spin" on why they will hold to their original position and vote as they originally planned.
The key is not to "change minds" of people in office but to "change the people" in office to those who already have "sane minds" and sound thinking on these issues. The mid-term election of 2010 needs to be HUGE. And if the economy continues to be weak and if the pace of gaffes coming out of this Administration continues, it will be huge.

At this time, Obama represents the head of the lawless snake of government, and that's why we seek the truth about him and why we seek to remove him as soon as possible.
As far as Congress is concerned, their time is coming - I suspect 2010 will see change the socialists don't want to see. Right now the majority of Congress represents an internal, lawless and socialist enemy of America, and that will need to be fixed in the town meetings and at the polls.
America also needs to restore its lawful money system and dissolve the Federal Reserve Bank (see: http://www.scribd.com/doc/18077819/Patm ... r-on-Money and http://www.conservativeusa.org/vieir100.htm).
State's rights also have to be restored - the fed is the state's servant - not the other way around. Our nation is a confederation of states, not a consolidation of states. The 'Principles of '98' are valid and need to be re-learned and re-enforced once again. This video by Thomas E. Woods, history professor, is wonderful: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 3363208310.
Re-imposing the 'Missing 13th Amendment' should also be on our to-do list, because, as difficult as it might be getting it back into the Constitution, I believe it would solve many of the problems we face today (see: http://www.scribd.com/doc/18029501/The- ... -Amendment and http://www.scribd.com/doc/18237333/Cons ... Maine-1825 - shows the actual 13th Amendment in print).
As you suggest, the problems Americans face are many and resolving them is going to take time. Having said that, it will serve us no good to attack those of us working on this single effort to remove Obama. Obama is a lawless Chicago thug and he simply needs to be removed before he completely destroys our republic.
We are all in this together. We all want the same thing.
We all want our constitutional republic restored.
Agreed.Quote:

I am so active that I got an invitation to a free invitation only picnic with my rep. I do research for a number of sites fighting a number of issues in this fight to get our country back. Unless you know what you are talking about, I suggest you do not lecture us on our duties. I spend a good 8-10 hours a day minimum fighting for our country, how much time do you spend?
You are 100000% correct, I just hope we have until 2010 and that ACORN does not find a way to rig the voteQuote:

Point being, some (okay, a few) have been mired on this thread for a long time and nowhere else. No insult to anyone meant or fingers pointed, but we kinda miss you out there.
We live in both very exciting and extraordinarily dangerous times. Exciting in that the recent election has awakened the electorate, a sleeping giant, hungry for change, truth, transparency and a return to constitutional government. Dangerous because our government has run amok and no longer represents the will of the people, but rather the will of ideologues and thugs bent on destroying and reconstructing an entire country into their own twisted image of a social utopia that benefits the few in power and enslaves the population which it was meant to serve.Quote:

I do believe that our next congressional and presidential election cycles are the most important in the history of this country and may well determine the fate of our nation.
I hereby relinquish my soapbox and leave it to the next fringe lunatic

TexasBorn, I agree with you 100 percent. When I look at the whole situation of bills getting pushed through when Congress has not had time to read them or even think about the consequences, nor has the American public had any decent input. And now with the healthcare reform being designed, which will hit each of us in our pocketbooks, and possibly cover all illegals on our dime (of course, we already pay for them through Medicaid for their anchors and using emergency rooms for primary care).
Got an interesting email from the Obama gang. Make an appointment to visit my congressman's and senators' office to talk about healthcare reform. I guess the explosions at town halls require a new strategy.
Obama is now in Mexico, meeting with Calderon and Harper and that has my stomach in knots. The stimulus is still not trickling down to normal folk and the TARP funds have been used to pay huge bonuses.
I think people are becoming very politically aware, which is wonderful, as we have been ignored for too long. Doesn't lead to a stress-free life.
