AMERICANS PUTTING NOOSE AROUND THEIR OWN NECKS
By Chuck Baldwin
October 4, 2012
NewsWithViews.com
Former Presidential candidate and Reform Party founder Ross Perot broke his self-imposed public retirement to make a bold warning: America could be taken over.
Perot was the last man to make a serious independent run for President. That was back in 1992. He withdrew from the race after he and his family had received serious threats against their lives. By the time he had gathered himself enough to reenter the race, all of his momentum was lost and Republican hacks like Rush Limbaugh had a heyday making sport of him. But the things Perot tried to warn us about back then have all come to pass. The economic malaise that currently envelopes this country could have been averted had Presidents and Congresses from both major parties over the past two decades had the sagacity and courage to heed Ross Perot and Ron Paul's warnings. In fact, looking back, Bill Clinton looks like a fiscal saint compared to fiscal sinners G.W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Yahoo! News covers the story: "Former presidential contender and billionaire Ross Perot is worried that America is a sitting duck for an unnamed foreign invader. In an interview for his new autobiography, Perot said the nation's weak economy has left us open for a hostile takeover--and neither presidential candidate is the man to save the country."Citing an impending fiscal cliff, Perot warned of disaster. 'If we are that weak, just think of who wants to come here first and take us over,' the former CEO of info-tech company Perot Systems told USA Today on Monday.
"'The last thing I ever want to see is our country taken over because we're so financially weak, we can't do anything,' Perot says.
"When asked for his take on the presidential race, Perot added, 'Nobody that's running really talks about it, about what we have to do and why we have to do it. They would prefer not to have it discussed.'"
See the report here.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of the American people do not truly understand the danger they are in. The national news media is mostly about NOT reporting what's going on. The conspiracy of silence by the three major network news shows and the cable news shows is so overwhelmingly successful, the average American citizen truly doesn't realize how dangerously close our country is to utter destruction--either by an economic collapse or by a nuclear war, or both. And all the two major parties can do is cast all the blame on each other, while the truth of the matter is BOTH major parties in Washington, D.C., are equally culpable for the jeopardous condition in which America now finds herself.
And Ross Perot is right: neither Obama nor Romney have the guts to even discuss (much less work to fix) the real causes of America's fiscal woes.
Perot is also correct in his observation that America could be "taken over" by a foreign power. While the Bush and Obama administrations were beating the war drums for aggression against Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Pakistan, and God only knows who else in the Middle East, they have turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the clear and present danger posed by China and Russia. The fact that China and Russia are salivating over nuclear war with the United States seems totally lost to the State Department, CIA, NSA, DHS, the mainstream media, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, and 95% of the American people.
Allow me to say at this point that if you live within a couple hundred miles to the east of a major nuclear target area, I would be making plans to relocate NOW. But you do what you want. That's just what I would do. And in case you do not know where the major nuclear target sites are located in the United States, I highly encourage you to order Joel Skousen' masterpiece: Strategic Relocation. Learn about it here.
Joel believes that China and Russia will not launch their nuclear attack against us for another ten years or so, but when it happens, it will be the catalyst for both a financial collapse and the rise of a totalitarian government. This leads to my question. Are we going to be taken over (as Mr. Perot is worried about), or are we already being taken over? Is our threat Beijing and Moscow or Washington, D.C.?
Without a doubt, the threat posed by Russia and China is very, very real (unlike the pseudo-threat posed by Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, etc.). In fact, Russian and China have been preparing their countries' civil defense and fallout shelters for years. The only such shelters that are being constructed in the United States, however, are those the federal government is building for the power-elite. And that is being done virtually invisibly.
But even short of a nuclear attack from Russia and China, is not the America that we knew, the America that was governed by a constitution, the America that believed in the principles of federalism and limited government, the America that regarded the principles enshrined in the Bill of Rights as sacrosanct, the America that believed in paying its bills, the America that had an intrinsic fear of God within it, ALREADY being taken over?
Virtually every principle upon which America was founded and that guided this nation for over 200 years is being thoroughly expunged. Every one of them! My fear is that by the time a foreign power decides to push the button, the America that will be destroyed will only be a museum of what this country once was.
The real America is being destroyed NOW--not by a foreign power, but from within!
As an example, try to wrap your brain around this report: "Close to half of Americans say they are in favour of police departments deploying surveillance drones domestically.
"According to a survey conducted by The Associated Press and The National Constitution Center, 44 percent support the idea of police using unmanned aerial vehicles to track suspects and carry out investigations.
"Only 36 percent said that they 'strongly oppose' or 'somewhat oppose' police use of drones, according to the survey."The poll also found that only one third of Americans say they are significantly concerned about their privacy being eroded by the adoption of drones by police forces throughout the country.
"Thirty-five percent of respondents said they were 'extremely concerned' or 'very concerned' when asked if they believed that police departments' use of drones for surveillance would impact their privacy.
"Almost exactly the same number, 36 percent, noted that they were 'not too concerned' or 'not concerned at all', while twenty-four percent were neutral on the issue, saying they were only 'somewhat concerned' about a potential loss of privacy.
"David Eisner, president and CEO of the constitution center in Philadelphia, told the AP that he was somewhat baffled by the response to the poll:
"'I had assumed that the idea that American police would be using the same technology that our military is using in Afghanistan would garner an almost hysterical response,' Eisner said. Support for drone use 'shows that people are feeling less physically secure than they'd like to because they are willing to accept fairly extreme police action to improve that security.'"
See the report here.
So, how could half of the American people be utterly unconcerned or even enthusiastic about this country being turned into a giant surveillance society? Are they so ignorant of history as to not realize that the most glaring observation of every totalitarian regime in modern--or even not so modern--memory was always the implementation of a massive surveillance network within the country? It seems that there is virtually no intrusion into our personal lives and liberties so egregious that the American people will not support it, if it is presented as a way of making them more "secure."
Today, the vast majority of the American people don't think twice about the government tracking them and listening to them through their cell phones, spying on their financial transactions, recording their phone conversations, reading their emails, scanning the data on their computers, setting up ubiquitous checkpoints on highways, and now sending drones over their homes and neighborhoods--drones that are currently being used to kill mostly innocent men, women, and children in the Middle East. Yes, you read it right: mostly innocent men, women, and children.
Several credible reports that I have read surmise that for every real "terrorist" that our drones kill in Pakistan and elsewhere, at least fifty innocent civilians are killed. Pray tell, if the people in our government are that calloused and coldhearted to the routine killing of innocent people in other countries, why would one think that they would suddenly develop a soul should they be given the order to kill innocent men, women, and children in this country?
Pray tell, how has this happened? How has it happened that the most courageous defenders of liberty in the world (the American people) have become complacent condoners of tyranny? I place the bulk of the blame on America's pastors and preachers. For decades, they have told and retold their congregants to "trust the government," "submit to the government," "obey the government," "the government is good," "the government is of God," etc. They have bastardized Romans 13 and helped turn free men and women into sheepish slaves of the state.
While Ross Perot worries about America's takeover from foreign entities, I worry that Americans are putting the noose around their own necks.

Chuck Baldwin -- Americans Putting Noose Around Their Own Necks
Dear XXXXXX,
I couldn't help but notice something recently.
On an ill-advised resolution that sailed through the U.S. Senate, my son, Senator Rand Paul, stood up and cast the only "NO" vote.
Of course, I've done that more times than I can count during my Congressional career!
But thanks to the hard work of good folks like you, the times where Rand and I vote alone are becoming ever rarer.
And today, with the November 6 election rapidly approaching, I'm counting on you to help bring those lonely days to a hard and fast end entirely.
So won't you please agree to make your most generous contribution to Liberty PAC IMMEDIATELY?
You see, time is running out. In many races, polls are literally deadlocked.
And for weeks, the statists have been going all-out to SMEAR pro-liberty candidates in some of the most crucial races to our movement, including:
*** Michigan, where Kerry Bentivolio came out of nowhere to win a Republican Primary. And, of course, you and I can't forget about proven allies like Congressman Justin Amash;
*** Kentucky, where Thomas Massie is running against a high-powered Democrat county chair and lawyer in a critical open-seat contest;
*** Rhode Island – a state usually written off by many Republicans, but where liberty-minded GOP candidate Barry Hinckley is making a strong push just at the right time;
*** Texas, where both Senate candidate Ted Cruz and former Congressman Steve Stockman are fighting to go to Washington, D.C. and stand up for limited government and constitutional principles.
These races – and many more – will be absolutely crucial to continuing our R3VOLUTION.
So I'm counting on you to make your most generous contribution to Liberty PAC TODAY!
As you may know, I started Liberty PAC for one simple reason...
That's to ensure pro-liberty candidates have the funds to fight back against the Washington, D.C. political establishment.
After all, some candidates may be able to head to New York City, stick their hands out, and head back home with tens of thousands of dollars in campaign cash from Wall Street fat cats.
But then they go to Washington, D.C. and vote for TRILLIONS in bailouts, debt ceiling hikes, and "stimulus" packages - while fighting you and me every step of the way as we try to finally shed some light on the out-of-control Federal Reserve.
Michael, our nation is over $16 TRILLION in debt. This madness cannot be allowed to continue.
When statists try to ram bad bills through Congress, we need more than just one principled Congressman or Senator voting alone.
You and I need the numbers to not only DEFEAT the bill, but also to finally start cutting our federal government down to size and restoring its proper constitutional limits.
I hope you agree.
If you do, I hope I can count on you for your most generous contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50, or $35 TODAY.
With your generous support, Liberty PAC will make sure our R3VOLUTION continues and the next Congress is filled with more pro-liberty, pro-Constitution Congressmen and Senators!
Please act at once!
For Liberty,
http://paracom.paramountcommunicatio...3a34/RPsig.jpg
Ron Paul
P.S. I've voted alone more times than I can count during my congressional career, so I think it's high time to send more pro-liberty reinforcements to Washington, D.C.
If you agree, please make your most generous contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or $35 to Liberty PAC TODAY!
With your generous support, Liberty PAC will make sure pro-liberty candidates have the funds to fight back during this most crucial time!

(NaturalNews) Political theater is so amusing these days that it deserves some comment. All across the internet, people are asking, "Who won last night's presidential debate?" The conventional wisdom is that Mitt Romney won the debate and that Obama turned in a very poor performance, but even that's not the real story. The correct answer is that Goldman Sachs won the debate. And why? Because both candidates are beholden to Wall Street interests and the global banksters who now influence nearly everything that happens at the highest levels of government.
The recent Fed announcement of QE unlimited (infinite money creation) is, for example, an unlimited, never-ending banker bailout pledge which will destroy the value of the U.S. dollar over the long term. It is a massive theft program that steals from the working middle class and gives to the rich. Both candidates quietly support this program because they're both puppets of the banking power elite. QE unlimited was never even mentioned during the presidential debate.
Who lost the debate? The People of America
If the bankers won the debate, then who lost? The People, of course.
Nowhere in the debate was there any mention or discussion of the following subjects which are crucial to restoring America to a nation of abundance and freedom:
• No mention of GMOs. Neither candidate seems to even know what a genetically engineered seed really is.
• No mention of legalizing industrial hemp farming across America so that farmers could grow a highly profitable crop that we currently import from Canada, China and elsewhere.
• No mention of solving the health care spending crisis by legalizing healing! Why is there still no freedom to practice holistic medicine in America? Why no freedom to tell the truth about the health benefits of nutritional supplements and medicinal herbs?
• No mention of cleaning up the U.S. water supply by removing toxic fluoride chemicals. Both candidates are perfectly happy with the idea of Americans continuing to poison themselves via tap water.
• No mention of protecting Americans from the runaway corruption and criminality of the TSA, which is staffed by thieves, pedophiles, perverts and people who can only be described as "total scum."
• No mention of the rapidly expanding police state surveillance "spy" grid across America, with the NSA now constructing a multi-billion-dollar spy center to monitor every phone call, every email, and every facial recognition camera across the nation.
• No real discussion of paying off the national debt. Obama wants to spend us into oblivion by adding $1 trillion a year to our national debt while expanding the power and reach of government. Romney wants to ignore the problem and hope we can "grow out of it" by expanding the economy while spending yet more debt money. Neither explanation has any basis in logic or mathematical reality. Both are little more than "political numerology."
Enjoy the political theater while it lasts
If you watched the presidential debate, what you were watching was essentially political theater. The deception is all based on what you didn't see or hear. For example, why were there only two people on stage who largely share the same establishment views? Why was Gary Johnson shut out of the debate? (www.garyjohnson2012.com)
Answer: Because he's the only candidate that doesn't want to bomb Iran. That's the truth you won't hear on television.
The debates, in other words, are largely just word games for an uninformed public. Theater to make you think that you're in charge when, in reality, the real power players are the behind-the-scenes banksters who don't care one iota who gets elected.
We would all do well to keep this in mind as we watch this political theater unfold. There will be more debates, more "platforms" explained, and more analysis by the mainstream media of what Obama or Romney said. None of it matters. It's all just mental masturbation to keep the masses occupied while the bankers steal everything.
After all, this race is already decided in advance, and the winner, no matter how you slice it, is Goldman Sachs.

Ron Paul Would Have Crushed Obama in the Presidential Debate

Election 2012
After watching the first presidential debate between President Barack Obama and former Governor Mitt Romney (I live blogged the entire debate for PolicyMic), I couldn't help but think how different the debate would have been if Texas Congressman Ron Paul had been the Republican nominee and had the chance to debate President Obama instead.
While Romney appeared more aggressive and assertive than the president — who looked tired, shaky, and noticeably rusty after nearly four years of no primary debating — there was much more rhetoric and half-truths to Romney's attacks than substance.
So while we will sadly never know how a debate between Paul and Obama would look like, here is how Paul would have likely responded to the debate questions and actually provided Americans a real alternative.

Gasoline has shot up by 10's of cents over the past few days here in Southern California.
I personally paid $4.62 a gallon for the weekly fill at my local 76 station. Was not even $4.05-12 a few days ago. Makes me extremely happy to be the owner of a peppy 4 cylinder car... Two-three years ago it cost $25 for a full tank. These days it is $50+.

The blame is being put on refinery problems. Typical.
Prepare for it my friends, I don't see it slowing down until people are priced out of driving their vehicles down the street. And I wish I could say that is an exaggeration.

If you go into a fight planning to lose in order to reap some form of reward, that’s throwing a fight. If you go into a fight with a messed up mind and a general lack of motivation that leads to you tapping out when you really didn’t have to, that’s just a sign that you either need to reevaluate or find a new line of work." I am surprised but with a little thought it was obvious this was coming.
When Michelle O. makes the rounds on recent talk shows saying she "doesn't mind being First Lady..."
That's code for I'm ready to move on and make the big money... get out of the firing zone... let the kids have a normal life... and not have everything she says and does scrutinized by the unwashed masses.
Obama was stumbling and bumbling and even someone like myself who can't stand the sight of the guy knows he didn't utilize his public speaking talents.
Mark my words; Obama is going to throw the fight for the same reasons a prize fighter does it.
~ He will be livin' large like Bill Clinton with the time to enjoy his loot.
~ And he will "work from outside D.C." to continue fanning the flames of race wars and class warfare.
~ With perpetual Secret Service 'protection' and all the post presidential VIP perks without the headaches.
That's great news for Romney and Ryan.
But it's bad news for the Republic.
Obama had the ability to collapse this country quickley and open the door for The Great American Renaissance.
Now the Republic is poised for 8 more years of;
~ Endless, bankrupting wars, that escalate the highly profitable "War for Terror"
~ Continued debt slavery and tax bondage to the FED/IRS Complex
~ Loss of states' power to big central government
~ Further erosion of personal liberties. You WILL have a national I.D. card or RFID chip.
The good news is sooner or later all top heavy empires collapse under their own weight.
At least we'll have "certainty" for 8 years.

How Mitt Romney’s Bain “harvested” Sealy mattress company
Sealy was America's No. 1 mattress brand -- until Bain Capital got its hands on it

At Wednesday night’s presidential debate Mitt Romney will no doubt brag about how, as head of Bain Capital, he built businesses.
On his website, Romney says, “In addition to Staples, Bain Capital went on to help launch or acquire Domino’s Pizza, Sealy, Brookstone, and The Sports Authority.”
However, as of last week he’d be unwise to cite Sealy, once America’s biggest mattress brand.
Relative upstart Tempur-Pedic agreed to buy Sealy this week for $2.20 a share, paying less than $250 million for its stock and assuming its $750 million debt.
Sealy executives told me this week that Tempur-Pedic, with its “memory foam” beds, is like the Starbucks of the bedding industry, and there was no stopping its rise. But that’s not the full story.
Mitt Romney’s Bain led a $791 million buyout of Sealy in 1997, putting $140 million down and, in typical private-equity fashion, having Sealy borrow the remaining $651 million to finance the deal and assume responsibility for paying it back.
Companies like Bain Capital call themselves private equity firms, but as I explained in my book “The Buyout of America” they really provide no equity.
They make money by putting businesses at risk. They say they turn struggling businesses around. But Sealy was not a turnaround — it was the market leader in its sector.
Romney first tried to boost Sealy’s profits, so it could pay its debt, by acquiring one of Sealy’s biggest retail customers, Mattress Discounters. But MD expanded too quickly and went bankrupt.
Bain then pushed Sealy to design the no-flip, or one-sided, bed. To cut costs they eliminated the bottom cover, making the bottom simply a foundation. With two-sided beds, consumers can flip their mattress, like they rotate a tire, for longer wear, so getting rid of the bottom would shorten the life of the mattress.
But Bain was more interested in cutting costs and boost short-term profits than in providing value to consumers. For a while, it didn’t seem to matter.
Bain and co-investors sold — “harvested,” if you like — Sealy in 2004 to fellow private equity firm KKR for $1.5 billion, pocketing $741 million for its $140 million investment.

Sometime this year, we taxpayers may again receive another 'Economic Stimulus' payment.
This is indeed a very exciting program, and I'll explain it byusing a Q & A format:
Q. What is an 'Economic Stimulus' payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.
Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.
Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen of it.
Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase ahigh-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.
Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?
A. Shut up.
Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the U.S. Economy byspending your stimulus check wisely:
* If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China or Sri Lanka.
* If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.
* If you purchase a computer, it will go to India , Taiwan or China.
* If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala ..
* If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea.
* If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan.
* If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will goto management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.
Instead, keep the money in America by:
1) Spending it at yard sales, or
2) Going to ball games, or
3) Spending it on prostitutes, or
4) Beer or
5) Tattoos.
(These are the only American businesses still operating in the U.S. )
Conclusion:
Go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that you met at a yardsale and drink beer all day!
No need to thank me, I'm just glad I could be of help.

Election 2012
Pennsylvania
An attorney for presidential candidate Gary Johnson is accusing the Pennsylvania Republican Party of breaking the law and engaging in “Watergate-style dirty tricks” in an attempt to disqualify the Libertarian from appearing on the ballot in November.
The Daily Caller obtained a letter sent from Johnson’s attorney, Alicia Dearn, asking the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office to investigate allegations of attempted bribery and false impersonation of an FBI agent.
“Based on what I have been told by witnesses, it is my opinion that the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee has engaged in Watergate-style dirty tricks, in an attempt to keep Gov. Johnson off the ballot,” Dearn wrote in the letter dated Oct. 1.
