Please give a brief description of your district:
The district composes the entire city of Pittsburgh and several of its closer working class suburbs. Once a city of industry, Pittsburgh played host to captains of industry like Andrew Carnegie and Henry Clay Frick. US Steel once had most of its operations in the area, and for a time the city was producing a third of the world's steel. After the steel industry collapsed in the late 20th century, the city's economy shifted to tourism and it's population dropped by more than half. The city, which once was one of the biggest cities in the Northeast, now is close to being surpassed by other growing cities in Pennsylvania such as Allentown. The city is also well know for both its clean streets, and its numerous types of bridges. Bring a union town, Democrats had dominated city politics and those of surrounding Allegheny County since the New Deal, The city, whild fairly liberal, does have an active Republican Party, and the city's strong Catholic roots allow for a socially conservative bent to many local politicians, the 14th has not had a competitive election since 1993.

Percentage of Democrat, Republican, and Unaffiliated Voters:
Democrat - 78%
Republican - 19%

PLEDGE

If elected or re-elected to the US Congress, I will oppose any form of Amnesty or path to citizenship for illegal aliens, including Comprehensive Immigration Reform which would turn millions of illegal immigrants into voters thus destroying future borders of America. I will use the full power of my office, including impeachment if necessary, in accordance with the United States Constitution, to insure the Executive Branch secures America's border immediately and begins to adequately enforce the existing immigration and border laws of the United States, which were enacted by Congress at the behest of America's citizenry. I understand that the failure of the Executive Branch to secure our borders and enforce existing immigration laws is depriving all Americans of a Republican form of government and depriving our states of protection from invasion as mandated by the US Constitution. I intend to use the power of Congress to immediately remedy this problem that is costing many Americans their jobs, wages, taxpayer resources, property, security, and sometimes their very lives.

So help me God,
