ALIPAC is announcing that today's protest in Charlotte, NC, at the intersection of Carnegie Blvd. and Barclay Downs Dr. near Rick Perry's fundraiser at a Southpark Mall restaurant will be the first in a series of protests at his events across America.

This first protest, being held from 11:30am to 1:30pm, will be attended by both local and national media, and is designed to forewarn the 81% of Americans found in numerous polls to oppose in-state tuition for illegal aliens about Rick Perry's unpopular support for illegal immigrants.

Rick Perry apologized yesterday for calling those that oppose high taxpayer tuition payments to illegal immigrants "heartless."

"Our hearts are with the tens of thousands of innocent American students that were deprived of the limited seats in college by Rick Perry's illegal immigrant students," said William Gheen. "We are glad to hear Perry apologize for calling his opponents names as most illegal immigration and amnesty supporters do. But the fact remains that illegal immigrants are taking needed jobs, classroom seats, taxpayer resources, health care resources, and votes from Americans with the help of corrupt politicians like Rick Perry."

William Gheen, President of America's largest national Political Action Committee fighting against illegal immigration or any form of amnesty for illegal aliens, will be leading the protest in Charlotte today.

ALIPAC opposes Rick Perry's support for in-state tuition for illegals, his support of Mexican trucks driving into the US without inspection, and Perry's opposition to E-verify and significant border walls and fences outside of urban areas.

"Close examination of Rick Perry shows a man that wants to appear to be tough on illegal immigration while in truth he is supporting the illegal immigration invasion of America," said William Gheen. "Our protest today and the coming protests across the nation are designed to warn voters about Rick Perry's real positions on illegal immigration before it is too late."

Members of the media and general public are encouraged to attend today's protest in Charlotte.
