You yourself acknowledged the dirty tricks that the media is pulling and these MSM strongholds ALSO represent the candidates. These candidates are also out doing what they can to discredit Ron Paul, so please - when you get an email from a so-called "ron paul supporter" think about the possibility that it might not really be a supporter.
I know first hand by contacting some people on youtube that they portrayed themselves as Ron Paul supporters leaving disparaging remarks and otherwise being confrontational and aggressive -- turns out they weren't supporters.
Just a heads up.
Dobbs & Digger 2008!
Now that has a ring to it doesn't it? :D

Sorry, I didn't mean to insult him by comparing him to Arnold. It was a bad analogy now that I think about it. My only point was that some very high-minded people have gone into politics and become corrupted by it. I don't know if that would occur with Lou Dobbs, but it just seems that people can rarely stand up for what they believe if it means jeapordizing their political careers. Tom Tancredo has managed to do so, however, but he's an exception.Quote:

Thanks for uncoupling Arnie from Lou, LAPhil. I feel for you guys out there in Mexifornia. We've got a libidiot, IA hugger Democratic governor in NC who is trying to get in-state tuition passed for illegal aliens at this time. We really need to thin the herd of the IA hugging politicians everywhere.
With the current two party system we seem to have no choice, they are just different parts of the same problem. The two parties just add their pork projects to any bill that gets voted on until their vote is bought. many of these pork projects are not even remotely associated with the original bill and make it to large to be comprehensivly read. A transportation bill should not have pork projects in it for unrelated pet project to gain support of "the other party".
These two parites are playing the people.
IT is time for a third party, term limits, and an end to politicial EMPLOYMENT of the political families in this country. serve your country then go back to what ever it was you did before like I believe our forefathers intended.
Lou dobbs seems to me to be well informed, passionate, fair, and direct. This is much more than i have seen in most of the other choices we have. It is time for a change and any change away from carear politicians is good in my book
just an after thought
have any of the pro amnesty groups made any estimates on what "comprehensive immigration reform " amnesty for us regular people would cost ? It must be billions lawyers for them lawyers for the gov. investigators judges clerks law enforcement exct.
Enforcement through attrition is already working to the point mexico is complaining and only a few states have adopted this policy
Lou Dobbs quoted from his book 'Independents Day':
"The key difference between our two parties is purely partisan: While Democrats describe themselves as liberal, progressive, and committed to civil liberties, and Republicans describe themselves as conservative and committed to tradition and social stability, the truth is, their only guiding principles are that Democrats are anti-Republican while Republicans are anti-Democrat. They have become nothing more than two wings of the same bird.
If the distinction between Republicans and Democrats is blurred and increasingly unclear, it’s in large part due to the fact that both parties are dependent on the largesse of corporate America and the influence of special interests. Bush has sent tens of thousands of our troops around the world to fight the war on terror, and hundreds of thousands to Iraq and Afghanistan, yet for 6 years he has insisted upon leaving our borders and ports open to the illegal traffic of millions of illegal aliens and billions of dollars in illegal drugs."
I don't understand what all the fuss is about. As American citizens, we each decide who we will vote for. I don't care how many sites there are for the candidates or potential candidates. Do you people think we're a bunch of puppets? That we're so narrow minded that we can't even pick our own candidate? Last I checked, this is a free country. If a Lou Dobbs website is erected, who cares? If your candidate is so strong, than other candidates and websites should not be a problem. Capeesh?
Lou Dobbs quoted from his book 'Independents Day':
"Lobbyists, special interests, power brokers, money changers, corporate and business elitists, even representatives of all types from foreign countries all have much more influence and access to YOUR elected representatives that you do."
Lou Dobbs quoted from his book 'Independents Day':
"The two party system is dysfunctional regarding following Constitutional principles and representing the needs of the people and the protection and best interests of the country. They are now committed to the largest campaign contributors, the special interests with the biggest handout and loudest voice and all types of corporate and big business supporters. The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite."
Lou Dobbs quoted from his book 'Independents Day':
"Had the US secured its borders and ports after September 11, not only would the American people be better protected against terrorism, but illegal immigration wold not now be a national crisis. Had corporate America not chosen to import illegal aliens, not chosen to employ them and exploit them in defiance of U.S. law, there would be no illegal immigration crisis. Had the federal government enforced already existing immigration law against both illegal employers and illegal aliens, there would be no crisis."
Lou Dobbs quoted from his book 'Independents Day':
"Companies rely on illegal immigrants to do jobs they aren’t willing to pay much for. In 1980 a meat-packing job paid 19 dollars an hour but today that same job pays closer to 9 dollars an hour, according to the Labor Department. Illegal aliens depress wages for U.S. workers by as much as $200 billion a year, in addition to placing a tremendous burden on hospitals, schools and other social services."
Lou Dobbs quoted from his book 'Independents Day':
"The illegal immigration and border security crisis had been building for over 40 years. In signing the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 into law, Pres. Johnson promised it would not be revolutionary or affect the life of Americans, even as it overturned sixty years of U.S. immigration policy of national origin quotas and led to the creation of explosive chain migration. Twenty one years later, president Reagan signed into law amnesty for more than three million illegal aliens who had entered the country. Reagan promised that new employer sanctions would “remove the incentive for illegal immigration by eliminating the job opportunitiesâ€

I will say for the thousandth time that I am really sick and tired of people trying to convince the voters that to vote for anyone other than a Democrat or a Republican is to guarantee that whichever person you want least will win. Those scare tactics just won't work anymore.
I personally wish there for five or six political parties to choose from. In recent years it seems to me that all the people who run for office time after time are just cut right out of the same cloth and there isn't a nickel's worht of difference in any of them. Furthermore, if any of these people had intended to do anything, it would have been done long before now. it is time for about 80% of them to step aside and let someone who cares about this country more than they care about pleasing the puppeteer run the show.
That being said, if Lou Dobbs ever does decide to run, not only will I vote for him, I'll campaign on his behalf.

Much like they have the right to vote for any person they want to be President. Like the Dems blaming Nader for "taking Gore's votes," and the Repubs blaming Perot for "taking Bush votes," people should absolutely give to, and vote for, the person they feel will make the best President.
I think the emphasis on winning the presidency is important. However, shamnesty, and the dream act originated in congress. Bush was COMPLETELY behind it, (remember his "see you at the signing" comment just before it was defeated?) and still it failed. The house members must face re-election every 2 years, so are a perfect target for grass roots action. Defeating senators running for re-election who supported amnesty THIS year will send a stronger message than any other vote. Lindsay Graham should be #1 on the defeat list. He was a STOOGE for McCain-Kennedy and amnesty. He has changed his "tune" lately, but when I see that silly grin beaming behind McCain speeches, I know he's a liar. Don't forget his award from La Raza, and his now almost forgotten line....Graham to La Raza…“We’re gonna tell the bigots to shut upâ€
we have a hispanic running for congress named quico conseca who is against amnesty. get the word out that he needs votes. that's in san antonio.
We have a democrat in El Paso TX running for congress who likes wide open borders andpandering to illegal aliens. He needs an opponent. He has run unopposed for the last two times except for a guy who didn't bother to campaign, which made me wonder if he was somehow threatened by Reyes or some gangster who supports Reyes. Reyes treated the illegals with a wink and a nod all the time he was in the Border Patrol that he brags so much about! and Reyes wrote to me to tell me that he believed that Ramos and Compean got just sentences! Tell me HE needs to be representing Americans!
angelaTC, I absolutely agree with you. And I won't give one cent to a candidate who I don't want in office nor will I donate to a political party so they can divert any of my money to some other place where I probably don't want that candidate to win, either. The Republicans definitely don't back their best people because, if they did, Tom Tancredo would be the frontrunner in their presidential campaign.
I think it was (is) a great idea to start a Lou Dobbs website.I understand completely the reason for starting to gear up in case only pro-illegal -amnesty candidates are selected in the primary election. While I am supporting another candidate that I believe will enforce our immigration laws,I would quickly endorse an Independent run by Lou Dobbs if we have amnesty candidates representing both parties. Many thanks to W for having the foresight to plan for a Lou Dobbs candidacy if needed to counteract two possible amnesty candidates in the general election.
Let's just all over-react!!
Care to explain what you mean?Quote:

I UNDERSTAND both sides of this debate-I signed it and pledged money.I think that by signing it I was trying to state my support for lou dobbs and not against my favorite canidate Fred Thompson.Lou Dobbs was at the forfront and on the right side of this issue than lets face it any of the present canidates with the except Hunter(since tom has left the race) all have made statements about illegal immigration we did not like(even Fred). Some may feel that if Lou Dobbs would enter the race as an independant that a democrat or mcCain would win because voting for him would peal away votes from conservatives and money that would otherwise go to one's prefered canidate.I predict this will happen in south carolina, thompson and huckster will split vote and give it to MCcAIN and Lindsay Graham will say that this proves Illegal immigration is not only not a big issue but South Carolinians agree with McCAIN on it.I do fear Ron Paul running as a third party canidate and helping democrats. Now I do think that if Mcain wins the republican nomination a lot of attitudes would change as they are now and support Lou DOBBS FOR PRESIDENT.
This is to TVLGDS and anybody who thinks like him. Your post is exactly the kind of thing that upsets Ron Paul supporters and incites an ugly response thereby proving you were correct. STOP THAT GARBAGE..Ron Paul supporters are mad and we have a right to be. I am certainly not a "kook". A "kook" is ANYONE who would vote for these RINOs and Council on Foreign Relations people who are running against a very HONEST Ron Paul.
tvlgds: what kind of kook are you? i'm a ron paul supporter and have not attacked alipac or any candidates who are against illegal immigration. i chose paul because illegal immigration isn't the only issue i'm concerned about. you're kind of creepy!!

The talking head comment...I DO NOT SUPPORT A LOU DOBBS run, but being a "talking head?"
Thier are TWO types of Politicians in Washington DC, BOTH types happen to be Lawyers...
First thier is the Ambulance Chaser who DOESNT CATCH IT (Ted Kennedy).
Second thier is the Ambulance Chaser who DOES CATCH IT (John Edwards).
So, to call Lou Dobbs a "talking head"...LOOK AT THE ALTERNATIVE!
Hopefully this is going where intended. Ron Paul is a good candidate and I am hoping he moves up in the polls. however be realistic Lou Dobbs represents all that Ron Paul does with more spunk. He is just as out spoken, interested in the people, honesty, and has more qualifications than the candidates ESPECIALLY OBAMA, I voted him into the senate and he has proven a huge failure at the job and is looking for a promotion already without proving he even knows who he works for.
I don't think Lou would take anything away from Ron Paul, fact is if Ron Paul was an Independent he and ran with Lou they would blow the other parties away.

That's the most troubling part of today's government! The mistaken assumption is that anyone who leads through government needs to be a lawyer and that law school is some kind of prerequisite for holding office. The lawyers need to serve in the capacity of advisor to the leadership, not the other way around. Elect common sense, morals and integrity!Quote:

Lou Dobbs would be just another one issue candidate. If illegal immigration was enough to get someone elected we would have President Tancredo or President Hunter. Dr. Paul is a thoughtful, well-rounded candidate capable of discussing foreign policy constitutional questions and economics as well as immigration. He is well aware of the danger of international alliances such as NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO and the grandfather of them all the United Nations. If he does not succeed in the Primary, I for one, as a member of the Constitution Party, hope he will consider running as an Independent. Mr Dobbs may be a great guy, and good on immigration; however, our problems are much deeper and on an international scale. His philosophy concerning other important problems would certainly have to have a great deal of scrutiny.
Not only is he the only MSM news anchor taking on illegal immigration (which he is totally correct on), he has taken on the economy, special interests, lobbyist influence peddling, government corruption, truth in government, religion in politics, free trade and favored trade status issues, national security, the folly of the Iraq War and how contractors are being enriched from it, middle class erosion and American worker protection, outsourcing jobs for larger corporate profit, excessive issuance of H-1B visas, our crumbling infrastructure, education, food safety and inspections, the environment, China's dangerous imports and its influence on our national deficit, NAFTA, SPP, NAU, LOST, ridiculous government treaties, crime, drugs, racial issues and the list goes on.Quote:

Boy, does this ever describe Obama!Quote:

And that statement is utter hogwash! Lou dobbs is probably more informed about ALL the issues than any one of the people in office today or all of them combined. Unfortunately, I do not get to watch his show very often but I get the highlites of it in my inbox every single day and I go read the transcripts regularly. I suggest you try that before you jump up and claim Dobbs is a one issue guy.Quote:

I would also add that Lou is the ONLY one mentioning about the North American Union(NAU) and the NAFTA Superhighway...as for me - I am a Ron Paul Supporter, a radical, because by today's standards - the Constitution of the U.S. is also very radical too !! :oQuote:

I am a Ron Paul supporter, but I am totally behind the efforts of AliPac to consider a movement to Draft Lou Dobbs.
I assume that everyone that belongs to ALIPAC is against amnesty for illegal aliens. That being the case we should not only support this effort we should also spread the word. If we accomplish nothing else but get the attention of the candidates and force them to support their positions we have accomplished a great deal.
Mr. Gheen, I am with you all the way.
Thank you
You list many things that Lou Dobbs has addressed - all of which has also been addressed by Ron Paul. PLUS Ron Paul wants to attack the root of our problems. i.e. Agenda 21 of the UN resettlement project - the source of the immigration problem and the blueprint of the NAU - The Federal Resersve - which is not Federal, nor is it accountable, never audited and against section 8 of the constitution, which requires congress to print the coin and set the value thereof. our present devaluation of the dollar is not an accident, and depressions have not been accidental since the establishment of the Federal Reserve in 1913. This seems like an attempt to further divide the Constitutionists and assure the election of the "same old crappers" There is already a grass-roots movement for Ron Paul. Of course, the globalists want anybody but Ron Paul - which has been proved by Glen Beck, who says he agrees with Ron Paul, but doesn't like the people who like Ron Paul. He says Ron Paul people want to kill him - what an insult to those who really support Ron Paul, who is a pacifist and never attacks his opponents. He doesn't even accuse them of waffleing - he simply points out that he is the only one who has consistently stood by the Constitution, against illegal immigration, the income tax and the IRS - long before the Johnny-come-lately crowd.
Jeramiah, everything you are saying is true. But Ron Paul has about as much chance of getting the Republican nomination as I do and I'm not even running. If Ron Paul turns around and runs as an Independent, I still don't think he can get elected, mainly because of his age, but I would seriously consider voting for him.
If you have watched any news footage on the campaigning, you surely must be able to see that Ron Paul looks like he's aged about 10 years just from the strain of flitting all over the country. So, take a guy who's 75 and make him 85. That can't be good. how long can his ticker take that kind of pressure?
We cannot afford to finally get a good President who will work with the people for a better future for America and then lose him. So, if confronted with the possibility of having a 50-some year old guy and a 70-some year old guy with the same ideas running for the same job, I'm going to choose the younger when it comes time to vote. Sorry, but those are cold, hard facts.
And, of course, if Ron Paul should get the Republican nomination through some fluke, I'd vote for him simply because the Democrats have Zero candidates in the race that I have any degree of respect for. My main concern is that we are going to have zero respectable candidates in either party.
But, Sigh, in my heart I believe we are all just pipe dreaming anyway. McCain and Hitlery will be the candidates, the Dems and Reps will gather forces to scare all the other candidates away or scare the voters away from voting for an Independent and we will be stuck once again with no leadership. Unfortunately, regardess of the hogwash about freedom and democracy we have been spoon fed, we live in a country where he who has the gold makes the rules.
Thanks for your support of Ron Paul - I am wondering if some people who are writing have been watching the debates - Ron Paul addressed the NAU and hit the ball out of the park when he replied it was no longer a conspiracy it was "out in the open" - He is the only one who has a web site where you can review his writing and speeches on all subjects. www.ronpaullibrary.org. The others just have talking points and complementary articles from media. Also, a while back Pat Buchanan noted that Thompson was just a "stalking horse" for McCain - in the S. Carolina race this proved to be the case. He would give McCain a little slap and lambaste "Huckelberry" - it worked - he took the religious votes from the "Huckster" which gave a victory to Mc.Cain. I forgot to address the age factor - Dr. Paul is in excellent health. He exercises regularly and seems to be thriving in spite of the psychotic fear of him displayed by the media; who have received their orders from Mayor Bloomberg and the gang of 17 that met in Edmond, Ok. At the press conference after their meeting, they told the press to tell us that we must vote for Consensus - someone who would be sure to have bi-partisans in the Cabinet and further more both houses of Congress must have Bi-partisan coalitions to insure "consensus": code for "two parties is one party too many when your goal is to steal the sovereignty of the United States and promote the Agenda of the United Nations". No wonder their guy is John-Finegold - Kennedy - Leiberman-McCain. Be warned!
